Excellent song. It says it all in the title. Synesthesia is a condition in which the senses relate, in a way so that a certain thing reminds you of a color. I'm not mentioning my source of info, and I'm not sure if this is correct, but I have heard that Daveys mother died of cancer, and when he says 'I know I died that night' I think that's because he was so close to her, or something like that. |

Hm..I picked up a copy of their biography a few months ago. Davey talked about how when they were a local band they used to play at a place called "The Phoenix." I have a feeling that something important happened to him there and that's why he wrote this song. |

I have a feeling that Davey based this song on a dream, notice how he uses "sonambulant" which means to sleep walk, or he possible expierenced it and wishes to go back to it, judging by the phrase "If only for one night remember." Or he could just love winter, who knows. |

Hm..I just signed up..I got this one downloaded last night and did some research on the word 'Reiver." From Reiver, I got the word reaver, which besically means deprivation. Judging by the phrase " Nothing is all we own" I imagined that it could possibly mean that he has been deprived of everything he owns. |
