I think this song is talking about a relationship with God:
The first stanza is like saying how he wasted so much time b/c he wasnt ready for it, but when it happens it all comes together and everything he has is actually God's.
The second stanza is talking about he's seen so many beautiful things but nothing compares to God, and everything he saw was a reflection of God (the moon reflects the sun's light) and at the end where it says "So now im branded for taking the fall" I believe it means that he took the chance and now he's forever known for the choice he made to follow God.
And the very last thing he says is pretty easy to understand. He is God's forever.
I could be completely wrong on what I believe BUT you dont need to bash my opinion. I love this song its really pretty and I even want it as my wedding song ^.^ |

In a way it could be about someone who struggles mentally "don't blame yourself it was everyone around who made you act this way." I have an aunt who has mental disabilities and she doesnt own up to the mistakes she's made she blames everyone else. But then the song seems to move on to telling someone not to worry about their past.
I really love this song it just sounds so incredilbly awesome. |

I havent actually heard this song but i want to i think the lyrics are really good....and deep. yeah i dont think its a father/daughter song either. I believe hes telling her that he needs her even if she dont need him and hes wanting her so bad. |
