i'm gona have to agree with OrangeSteamboat only i want to elaorate... when i listened to this song i wasn't very fond of society and what ppl in general thies to make of you so ,perhaps he wrote it withe the individual vs group situation in mind... "i dont wana b a puppet 4 u etc" another vibe i got was when entering into the acceptance of someone (weather it be a group or a selected person) and you have a dominating urge to be true to yourself it eventually happens that you hurt/disapoint the person/s. so, unfortionately it happens that you have to go back to them. you have to stand up and face them again (you cant exist outside society or if ur still living at home and you love your parents, your going to have to face them again) the sad thing is you feel you have to change for them to accept you but you know that changing is impossible for you, so your stuck in this loop. this might be taken too far, but thats generally what this song reminds me of. |

the sound incubus has in this song is absolutely amazing... its very mature yet almost innocent. i love it! it also has a significant ring to it, somewhere underlying in the lyrics.... the first time i listened to it i put it on repeat for almost the entire day. the first song that describes me in way too many ways! wel done guys. |
