| Rammstein – Der Meister (English) Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Hey, perhaps it _could_ be about Hitler. Perhaps not. Just because you write a song about something or someone, doesn't mean you support that thing, or believe in it. It's just the subject matter of the song. It doesn't reflect the personal views of the band members. It's supposed to illustrate a point. As for the song itself, I do think of it as being sung from a Nazi's point of view, but that's my opinion. Sue me. It's a disturbing song. I also like how they contrast the lyrics and the music. The lyrics are dark and brooding, impending of death and suffering. But then you got this soft church organ/bagpipe-ish melody in the background of the chorus. It's awesome. This shouldn't been one of Rammstein's hits, dispite the negativity it would've gotten them in reviews. |

| Disturbed – Fade to Black (Metallica cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |

They did an okay cover, but it's nowhere near as haunting of a melody as the original Metallica song. Metallica's gave me goosebumps. Disturbed's version just gave me nostalgia. Anyway, the song appears to be about suicide, but Metallica originally wrote the song when some jerk got away with most of Metallica's equipment after a show. Guess that pissed them off, and they wrote this in response. I hope the dude who stole their stuff burns in the firy cauldron of hell. Or Martha Stewart's kitchen. I dunno which is worse. |

| Rammstein – Ohne Dich (English) Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Okay, I'm surprised beyond belief that no one picked up on the true meaning of this song yet. True, this is a love song. People have been right about that. - He met his love in a forest, near the fir trees - "The evening is throwing a cloth upon the land", a metaphor for nighttime - "On the BRANCHES in the ditches", "It's now SILENT and WITHOUT LIFE", "And BREATHING becomes oh so HARD for me" The person depicted in this song is depressed about losing the love of his life, so he hangs himself at night where he first met her. The song is about love and suicide, people. A morbid, yet beautiful song by the great Rammstein. |
