| Nerina Pallot – Geek Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
When I saw Nerina Pallot she played this song and said it is about losing your virginity which would explain "in the race to get out of this place" as everyone is in such a rush to lose it! I think "You're accusing me, sir, I'm not here But I'm here, yes, I'm here I'm not on the moon I'm leaving so soon" means that 'sir' does not believe she is a virgin so she says "I'm here, yes I'm here, I'm not on the moon" and obviously if she's about to sleep with him "I'm leaving so soon" would mean she won't be a virgin any more! I think the whole thing about "don't presume to know sh!t about me" is because he just presumed she'd not be a virgin. And I think "will ur cat be ok? your wife is she in?" just means she isn't just presuming he doesn't have a wife or cat! lol The problem is though she says "we're geeks but we know this is love" but how can it be love already if she doesn't even know if he has a wife!? What do you think? |

| Nerina Pallot – Mr. King Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I went to see Nerina Pallot at the end of January and she has an amazing voice in real life too. She is really funny as well - I'd never been to a gig with such an adult audience before. She told us that this song was about her music teacher. Maybe Nerina had been suffering from writer's block after all. | |
| Busted – Mummy Trade Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is about a guy who keeps going after people's mothers. He did it to Stephen and Ethan Joey and Nathan Josie and David, Peter, John and Mike, Alison, Alistair, Monica McAllistair Madison, Harrison and the guy from Saracens. Name some we don't already know!!? Wow this guy must have had charm, but he was a friend of the songwriter then he started chasing after their mother so the songwriter became angry and may have to threaten his charming mate "What if i told you i'm watching you". The songwriter told all the other people that the charmer was after their mothers too and now the charmer is screwed because he'll get chinned if he continues to try and get people's mothers into bed. Anyone who wants to take tips from this charmer who beds mothers look closely at the lyrics to see if you can pick up tips eg. "You came round asking just to mow the garden, You're a clever guy, 'Cause you did it for free" - You could try to mow peoples gardens for free so that they think you're nice when really its just another one of your tactics. Also "I came home and your car was in the front yard". This lyric suggests you have more chance if you're a car owner but also you have more chance of getting caught. Also "You undid your flies, And now I can't believe my eyes" this may suggest that the charmer is well-equipped. Other tips on not getting caught are: don't go to the movies the same time as her son and don't have late night jacuzzis whilst he is around. This song warns you to "Stay well clear and leave my mum alone Leave my mum alone Mum alone Mum alone" so you may get chinned if you don't take that advice. |

| Busted – Year 3000 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is about what life could (but most probably won't) be like in the year 3000. Loads of random lines were thrown in because who knows! I don't think it's about global warming and i don't think they should changed the lyrics from "Not much has changed but they lived underwater" I think they were just being funny with that line! | |
| Busted – Why Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I thought this could relate to the bad things about being in Busted "Just talk to me a while And joke about the things we used to see," could mean talk about things that happened before Busted "It's so hard for me to smile. I've never felt so alone," could mean that Charlie [the writer of this song] is finding life in the band difficult and lonely "After all of this, There's so much left to lose." could mean that after the band's life has expired gaining credibility as a music artist would be virtually impossible as some people are unwilling to give him a chance. "And I've taken pieces home, I promise you I never meant to." could mean he's brought Charlie from Busted home instead of Charlie Simpson. The song could be about life being in a relationship and in a band. Any ideas what this verse might mean? "Hold me now, Don't wake up. Pull me down and then back up, All again for all to see. Low down whisper, A guilty stare, Your stagnant beauty makes me glare, Silly games in the sun, In the sun." ? |

| Busted – Fake Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Just ignore the Busted haters. They're just trying to wind us up - they mustn't have much else to do with their free time. The song actually is about a guy who is having trouble getting their girlfriend off "Can't get her off, that's kinda rough" and then when he's ready to try again he is worried in case he still can't get her off "I gotta know, can I deliver? Cos I'm feeling stressed" "I've got the goods, is that enough" Read the lyrics through again and you'll see what i mean. |
