i really can't believe no one else has commented. this song is totally dynamically awesome. no one else does the sneering sarcasm that kathleen can do with her "little girl" voice.. i think i'm right in thinking that here they're attacking misogyny (as usual but.. wait) and sexual objectification of women (self fulfilling porno queen). maybe this about the all too common issue about women faking orgasms so the men will like them more or whatever.. never understood that. "when will i ever get my sugar? what are you afraid of?"
maybe this is also poking at guys who just.. um, get off and neglect their ladies. this is a nono, and if i had the talent i would write a song about this too.

undoubtedly my favorite sheryl crow song. the chord progressions are amazing and the tale-spinning fashion of the lyrics are the ideal scorned lover fodder. i always thought the worst way to get revenge on someone would be to write a song about how terrible they were to you.. onya, ms. crow! this guy, if it really happened, is probably cowering now. |

this song is one of the most beautiful ones i think. the guitars sound like they're dying and fizzling like unsung wicked witches under those horrid fluourescents. ahh it's hard to interpret this into words :) it speaks for itself |
