I have been a unicorns fan for only about a year, and i know theyre music is just for fun, but the lyrics in this song make a very clear reference to diamond mines in africa, and its a very serious situation. the sound of the song doesnt really match the lyrics then, so i dont really know what to think. it would be weird to think that islands would make light of diamond miners, but the other songs on this cd seem just as easy as the unicorns were, so it would be weird also to have this one serious song, so i dont know what to think really, i guess. |

the line doesnt have to be so directly interpereted, the line could have been written because of the iraq war, but it probobly refers to the other wars before it, more than the iraq war itself, because it was the same way with the gulf war, , and vietnam, which was just us sticking our noses into something that wasnt our business. so the line most likely meant that america is always trying to start shit,and will not stop trying to star shit |
