hes at a bar, hits on a girl, brings her home, lies to himself its more than a hookup, the entire song is him torn between knowing its nothing more and hes still lonely, and him wanting her/anyone so he wont be lonely, my thoughts. These guys are incredible, my band played with them in cleveland a few times at some underground shows, they deserve every bit of their success |

i think this is about him killing a girl at the beginning, he feels remorse about half way through, starts telling of her adventure as he drops a boulder on her in a burning bush in a ditch on the side of the road. he reassure his guilty sould with an existentialist line " i believe there meaning no i believe theres nothing" they sing of a lot of bad things and dont show remorse a lot on this album, so maybe thats why this line is repeated? |

i think all these events occur after a break up (in our finest moments forever apart) It gets him to thinking, Why be here on earth if your not happy. He fucking gets it perfect with "What is life with no hope of tommorow" And even if u get happiness its all over in the end and you become miserable in hell. The wings im guessing represents someone being a christian foever and devoting their live to their god to see how heaven is, yet he goes to hell in the end anyway. Why start a relationship with god. Maybe its better u never open your eyes to him. Yeah, that kinda went astray but it made sense to me. |

i definently agree with all of that, but i also think there is definently a murder in there somewhere, the whole trampoline thing explains their good and bad trips, or highs. On a bad high i think they murder the girl, the whole rip her chest open thing. Then he sobers up and realizes what hes done (they find her on the shore) and this is where i dont understand what the 5 Oh think because i doubt they think its a shark. But anyway, he knows no one thinks its him so he says some things are better left unsaid so that he can get away with it and it can be forgotten |
