| Yes that is indeed from Willy Wonka. The original one with Gene Wilder...not the shitastic one with Johnny Depp. | |

Lyrics for the last part: You don't wanna be here if she gets hurt Take it easy, Take it easy She's not gonna show her face And I don't think you understand the truth About us In a matter of time If she shows up I hope she don't I hope she don't I know I'd hate for her to see me with you Naked in my room There's something I love about the rush When I'm cheating on you There's something I love about the rush When I'm cheating on you I pray to god you understand |

I think some of the words here are wrong. Here are my suggested corrections: I could never help Standing here with you for regret work's sake nothing we can do After this stops You can run away don't forget, this is how everything should be Don't you ever go Don't you ever go |

| Primus – Mary the Ice Cube Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I just recently saw the DVD "Blame It On the Fish" and in there Les is interviewed about this song. He mentions that it was about a man who loved an ice cube, but that he had a friend of his who had been going through some marital problems, who told Les that this song meant alot to him, as it seemed to tie into his situation saying that his wife once loved him, but had started to turn cold and melt away from him. The point of lyrics is that they are suppose to be designed to be interpreted by different people...if you wanna believe the song means nothing, then do so, just don't belittle those who think more then that. |

| I completely agree with fxcnelson. Nothing against musicmaniac32, but that anti-war interpretation sounds like wishful thinking of ppl who just want it to be a protest song. But I could be wrong. | |

| DEP does have many songs about Murder/rape and this goes with that pattern. But what makes DEP lyrics great is that rather than come out and say "I wanna rape and kill you" they say it in a creative fashion | |
| The Dillinger Escape Plan – Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| It is definetely about Rape. I knew it before I saw the video, but the video DEFINETELY confirmed it. The lines saying things like "Stranger's candy takes you where you wanna be, in broken alleys" or "soon you'll find I'm never gonna take you back home" definetely show that. And just because he says "Baby you can have it" doesn't mean she wants it persee. | |
