All of his energy is caught up in looking for this perfect woman that he has invented in his mind. He has put himself too much looking for her. Even if he did find her his "vapors" would smell of desperation as she walks through his life(gloom). He has become depressed and has reached a breaking point. He is begining to realize that she's not out there. He has created something much bigger than any person can be(Saturn) and it is breaking his mind in pieces. I think the last few part of the song he is actually talking to the real girl or the real friends in his life. The very last part he realizes that he has made a mess because even though he is at the lowest point of his life, he enjoys being alive for the real people around him. |
