with all the respaect not all the songs are about sex drugs and suicide. Parabola really IS a praising song about life, after all it is about the birth of Keenan's son... obviously Parabola is tracked after Schism which expresses the disapontment of his failing marriage...
people... it's not just a song... it's a masterpiece, just beacuse the band is not very cheery and fluffy doesn't mean all their songs are about the same depressing issues... |

the song is about a couple of angels who fall in love with each other, the garden is obviously heaven and their love is the sin represented by 'the golden mountains', their sins are carried with them, the 'trouble taking place' is the punishment, since angles live a life of survitude and adoration, not for thinds such as love. the song beard is God who watches. |

the Fire might also represent Jean d'Arc's own fire burning with pride, like other saints, she was executed, she would'nt have been a saint if she wasn't, which explains her unity with this fire.

unfortunately, I was very disapointed of the album, 'with teeth' reflects it, I remember Trenr said that it's scary writing an album after 'The Fragile', which I agree, let's wait anothe five years for something better than this one... |

at first I thought the spokeman is a person who has a wickness for sunlight beacause of the eclipse and the nights growing longer and the emphassis on darkness cold closure and clautrophobic feeling. I do agree that the eclipse symbolises a relationship that is ment to be doommed, though I think the spokemam is somehow badly messed or conflicted and his wife sufferres for it, all he can do is to feel pittyness for her sorrow, this problem he possess was an issue already at the day they were married, since their friends rewarded her courage with gifts... I am questioning it... help me here |
