I can't believe no one said this. To me it's obviously about drugs. It talks about a secret place where everythings alright. She has a love that she knows is all hers. For god sakes it says "A pocketful of sunshine." Maybe I'm projecting, but I think its obviously about chemical dependency/addiction. |

i think its alot deeper then a ho girlfriend its a sad song about a man's wife who died in a car accident and he so upset and in denial. "Because heaven sends and heaven takes Crashing cars in his brain" heaven sent her and heaven took her and he keeps thinking about it and nothing will ever be the same and he cant handle it and wants to die, like screenplay215 said. but i think when the voice says stupid on the streets of london it is more of a omniecent voice like god or somthing refering to both of them out drinking and having fun (and her dying in a wreck) and now he is praying (yelling to god) or saying to a close friend "'kill me now' again and again" |

i think it could be about not wanting to touch his fans. they always want to hug him and love him but hes been touring for 2 years and is sick of it "i dont feel like touching you no more" and "2 long years in a strange strange land" i heard him say in an interview that a new album promoting/touring is a good 2 years on the road and then it clicked in my head. that is what other people speculated too. |

i think this song is about a guy who goes to prison (2 long years in a strange strange land) and get abused (wink wink) and then when he gets out he not into his GIRLfriend anymore, but he wants to be "her man" but he cant be anymore thats what i get from it, lol. ps. what up with him saying "fuh-touchin" at the end "i dont feel like fuh-touchin you"??? |
