| Some of the music was DEFINITELY ripped from 3DG's "Animal I've Become." Listen to the choruses. "Monster" is a little bit higher, and some of the notes/chords are changed, but you can definitely tell the songs are almost identical. If you layer the songs, playing one on top of the other, you can hear it even better. | |

okay, totally different perspective on this... I think maybe the guy cheated on his girlfriend, she chose to stay with him, but still resents him for it and wants to make him pay. She loves him too much to let him go, but she lets it infect her mind because of how bad his betrayal was. "If it makes you less sad I will die by your hand." I'll let you kill me, if that's what it takes to get you over this. "I hope you find out what you are, I already know what I am. And if it makes you less sad we'll start talking again. You can tell me how vile I already know that I am." She loves him, so it hurts her not to talk to him. But whenever they DO talk, she can't stop bringing up how much of a pr*ck he is, and he already knows it. "I'll grow old and start acting my age. I'll be a brand new day in a life that you hate. A crown of gold, a heart thats harder than stone but it hurts a whole lot and its missed when its gone." He says he'll act the way she wants him to, but he knows it won't help any. He'll leave her alone, but knows she'll just chase him again because she misses him. "Call me a safe bet, I'm betting I'm not. I'm glad that you can forgive, I'm only hoping as time goes on you can forget." He's saying she can SAY she trusts him, but he knows she really doesn't. Also that even though she SAYS she's forgiven him, she can't stop bringing it up and ridiculing him: she can't forget it. "If it makes you less sad, I'll move out of this state. You can keep you yourself. I'll keep out of your way." He'll leave so she isn't reminded of how he hurt her every time she looks at him. "And if it makes you less sad I'll take your pictures all down. Every picture you paint I will paint myself out." He'll get rid of all their memories together, just so she won't have to wonder if he's thinking about her, even though he secretly is. "It's cold as a tomb and its dark in your room when I sneak to your bed to pour salt on your wounds." Basically, whenever he sneaks over to see her, she's wondering if he did this with the girl he cheated on her with, and it puts 'salt in her wounds.' "So call it quits or get a grip. You say you wanted a solution, you just wanted to be missed." He tells her to break up with him, or stop ridiculing him if she's going to stay with him. Even though she says she wants to fix their relationship, she wants him to feel like she's going to leave and wants him to fight for her. "Call me a safe bet, I'm betting I'm not. I'm glad that you can forgive. I'm only hoping as time goes on you can forget. So you can forget." (see above) "You are calm and reposed, let your beauty unfold. Pale white like the skin stretched over your bones." He is telling her how beautiful she is. "Spring keeps you ever close, you are second hand smoke. You are so fragile and thin, standing trial for your sins. Holding on to yourself the best you can. You are the smell before rain, you are the blood in my veins." He is saying how even though she puts on a facade that makes people think she is fragile, she is really vindictive, but he still doesn't want to leave her, even with her ridiculing him. "Call me a safe bet, I'm betting I'm not. I'm glad that you can forgive. I'm only hoping as time goes on you can forget." (see above) make any sense to anyone else??? |

I agree with busted_rhythm on this one, for the most part. the line "Take this for me, I don't wanna hurt you" makes me think of him not wanting to risk hurting her even more, so he's waiting for the girl to notice him and make the first move for him. I also think the guy may have trouble saying what he wants to say, or is too stubborn to, or isn't used to saying that he feels this way, so he's acting like he doesn't care, but inside, he's wanting so much more. what makes me feel this are the lines: "why do you take it all? why do I beg for more? // I never thought that this is how I hit the floor" it's like he doesn't want to admit that he's feeling this way towards this girl, but he knows he's not going to be able to stop it. ...anyone else agree? =s |

I'm in a situation that this song could definately apply to... =\ I think this song means one of two things: 1.) I'm new here- I don't know the ropes yet, so I shouldn't be lynched for the mistakes I've made. 2.) I'm new here, and these guys are all like "Like me, like me, like me... You are soooo WRONG for not liking me...", and that's where I come in and I'm like, "I've got a RIGHT to be wrong!" bah... just a thought. >. |

it's "hunting" this applies to a situation I'm in right now... the "exist behind your keyboard, and the you're gone in a flash" line says that you say whatever online, like you're all big &&bad, but you can never live up to it, face-to-face... &&ignore the alcohol references, for the mosty part, please... this song will mean so much more than what you hear on the surface... |
