I think at some point in everyone's life they get stuck in a rut or get into something that's hard to get out of. Or just feel terrible and its hard to get over it and stop feeling that way. This song describes that feeling flawlessly. 'but I'm just frozen here in the same old spot and all I have to do is to press the pedal but I'm not' To me this expresses knowing exactly what you need to do to change things but you don't know where to begin. Or you do, but its just easier not to. 'People are tricky you can't afford to show anything risky anything they don't know the moment you try - ... kiss it goodbye' That's so true...its easier just to pretend everything's instead of taking the risk that people will turn their back on you. And 'I'll believe its you who could make it better, though its not'. Well, I don't know if anyone else does this, but I certainly do. I relate to this song too much... 'Lost in Space' is amazing.
