A good friend of mine died in a car crash last year and every time I hear this song I think of her - I find that I sing along to a lot of music but I just can't sing along to this one because it just makes me cry. I think that Ben Harper hit on something here that speaks to the deepest part of people's emotions - I guess everybody has experienced pain and loss and can relate to the sincerity of his words. |
