OMG i am so totally in love with this song!! i agree with everything razorbladegirl_87 said and i also think that 'I'll violate you in the most sensual way untill...you drown in this love' (apart from being the most amazing lyrics ever written) also mean that Ville is basically gonna do whatever it takes to get this girl to fall in love with him. yes...i think the whole song is basically about that...Ville wants to get the girl 'i'm waiting for you to drown in my love - so open your arms'. i really really love this song! it's a shame alot of people haven't heard it - being a demo...i don't think it's that rare though. i just love the vibe of HIM's really old stuff - like the stuff on '666 Ways To Love'. so awesome. truly one of the most amazign and beautiful songs ever. i really really do worship this song...and Ville...and his voice...and HIM. but thats besides the point, i love it so much. anyways, i don't think this song really needs analyzing, as although it's so beautiful the meaning of the song is pretty straight forward. the confusingness of love. it's such a despairingly hopeful song if you get me. i mean, that deosn't really make sense at all but i guess it does to the song. the song just has such an effect on me emotionally it's so hard to explain. but the lines that have the most effect on me are Take me into your arms And sing me your beautiful song Hold me until we’re one And sing me your beautiful song so beautiful. *bows down and worships His Infernal Majesty*. y'know, i may start a cult where we worship HIM as gods themselves. i mean, so many people do that anyway but we should make it official. lol. anyways, rock on sweethearts \m/ |

maybe the song is simply talking about a relationship where the guy is giving all he can but what he's giving is just not good enough for the girl hence 'i'm killing myself but you want more'. the guy believes that he's the girl's saviour 'i'm your christ and i want you' and that he can help her but she just wants more. and 'this world's not for us and you know it as well as i do' - also maybe saying he wants to help her - he can take her to another world if she's only let him. i love love love the way Ville rolls his 'rrrs' how sexy and finnish:P |

why do people who don't like HIM look up their lyrics? to me that just seems a little bit pathetic. anyway, to the song. it's my favourite song ever... Sanna June Hyde has such a beautiful voice and it goes so well with Ville's. She also sings with Ville in 'Don't Fear the Reaper'. actually, at the time, she was going out with Linde but when they split up she moved to London and never recorded anything with HIM again. the song is basically about what it's called - dark secret love. basically two people are really in love but it's dark and secret and only when nobody's looking can they get closer. it's such a beautiful and passionate song. i love HIM so much. and i really really love Ville so so much however i wish Linde, Mige, Gas and Burton would get a little more credit. However, Gas and Burton weren't around at the time of Dark Sekret Love. so yes, best song ever:) and HIM really are the best band ever, a mon avis:P |

HIM's all three versions of Wicked Game are some of my favourite songs ever! they're so amazing i love htem so very much. anyways, Wicked Game is about the wickedness and unfairness of love, and also the uncertainty. the song is basically the borderline between love and infatuation. at first it's 'i don't wanna fall in love with you' and it becomes 'now i wanna fall in love with you'. basically, by the end of the song the person realizes that they are in love and resigns themselves to the fact that it just can't be helped - 'nobody loves no-one'. it's such a beautiful song and it sounds so innocent and vulnerable i think so lol. and HIM's Wicked Game 2000 (Razorblade Romance version)'s video is actually a really amazing visual adpation to the song in itself. It's raining and Ville turns up in this stripper club and finds himself infatuated by a stripper. his wallet gets nicked and he starts a fight at the end of the video and ends up getting thrown out into the rain. possibly my favourite HIM video ever - even though alot of people hate it. Ville looks so innocent in the video (and gorgeous lol) and his wallet get nicked (showing his vulnerability) and the stripper is trying to seduce him - almost against his will at first but he gives in...then he goes to the bathroom and a toilet has flooded - i dunno what significance or meaning that has but i'm sure it has one. when he gets thrown out in the rain and is just lying on the floor it kind of shows that love really is a wicked game - it can be good and very bad...the video ends with Ville singing into the mirror int he flooded bathroom...very good ending. ah well, i've just almost analyzed the video:P Oh, and for all you people who diss HIM but don't even know what they're about - don't bother. you just makes yourselves look like twats. |
