this song means a lot to me, it kind of summed up my life when i grabbed the cd. for me, i am the animal in the cage, and people that were in my life are the ones outside. these people that i was involved with were basically drug buddies. i sunk into a depression and they booted me out of the group saying that i was the one that should look at myself because with me being sad i destroyed the dynamics of the group, but really they are the ones that should be looking at themselves, they have their world that they have built for themselves but really their world consists only of fickle people that will leave at a moments notice of trouble, by being booted out of the group, i was forced to stop taking drugs because i no longer had a supply, i'm trying to get myself back on track and i realise that my whole world that i knew, the one i shared with these 'friends' was all bullshit, all just an illusion. obviously trent didnt write this about me :P but this song really strikes a chord with me personally, and thats what it means to me. |
