Personally, when looking at the lyrics and then listening to the song, it seems to me like in the beginning, someone is expressing their problems. The beginning speaker speaks his verses with words of defeat. When the choir begins to sing, there are words of hope and change. It's almost as if from the confession of a person going through hard times, there is an encouraging answer that dares the first speaker to change. From the lines in the first part: Bring it back, got to hold it back To let you do that yet you don't want it back Before it fall down, falling down falling down Falling out to go far from the soul To the lines in the second part: Pick yourself up it's a brand new day So turn yourself round Don't burn yourself, turn yourself Turn yourself around to the sun All in all, this is a really good song. And I recommend those who haven't listened to it, to take a good spot in the house, and soak yourself with these lyrics. |
