| this song started out about a friend of mine who i cared for deeply... then another friend of mine called me while i was writting and the second verse came from the way i felt after our conversation.... the first girl is imperfect and unwilling to change, begging for help only to push it away, she got lost in her words, but knew what she meant when i kissed her and looked into her eyes, which she kept closely gaurded, being sure to never look anyone in the eye..... the second is a girl who saw past all of my bullshit and fake hapiness, how i try to be so strong and perfect (perfect being what eveyone expects of me, not actually perfect) and how she could never be everythign i wanted her to be, she couldnt be with me, she cant commit, she fears dating... the list goes on | |
