| Mother Mother – Try To Change Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Well seems fairly obvious, they want to change but encounter hardships along the way, which makes sense because any important change is going to be hard to accomplish. Finally they just give up on the change because no matter what they seem to just be slipping back into their old ways. Thats my opinion anyways.... Love the song though very calm, yet some what uplifting and dreary all in one. Also very short and simple. Woo Mother Mother |

| David Usher – Black Black Heart Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Personally I think prinzess captured this song perfectly. I mean I know she wrote it like five years ago but its just perfect. Society is "rotting to the core." There is a common black black heart found in millions of us with all the indifference in this world. The idolizing of "sex and diamonds" or money and promiscuity without love are killing us all off and making people feel nothing. Then we all just go crazy and keep getting caught up in the vicious cycle of pleasure and no one wants to work hard or "offer more" anymore. | |
| Snow Patrol – Open Your Eyes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I always saw this song as an escape, an explosion under extreme pressures and finally things just were too much and the singer explodes and has to get out of the situation and show everyone how bad its gotten. It all feels strange and untrue because he's finally taking it into his own hands its got to stop. The his bones ache and his skin feels cold because he's so fed up with all of it. The anger swells in his guts and he wont feel the slices and cuts meaning no matter what happens hes so determined to stop this that no insult or injury will stop this now everything has to be revealed and stopped. He hopes everyone else will see the terrible lies around and that they will open there eyes to the crap tahts been going on and ruining the world around them. They have to get away from all the lies of the world around them, and once they do the will be free to live their lives without restrictions. He wants to show the world "i want so much to open your eyes" taht its all lies and there is freedom still out there. Idk it really relates to ow i feel about living in this country right now, i hate it theres so many lies and i can trust no one and everyday i lose another freedom that was garunteed to me over 200 years ago in the revolution. Then people say im a terrorist or support them because i dont believe in the actions the government is taking to restrict my life and its all bull, yet no one sees this no one at al and all i want it for the world to wake up and realize the actions of my country are not acceptable, this is bull rights cannot be taken away, wars cannot be decalred for no reason, and human rights are universal and anyone violating them should have theirs taken away. | |
| Bloc Party – Like Eating Glass Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I can't get this song out of my head its amazing, i do like the ideas here though i believe the song is mainly about the loss of some one dear. It shows all the stages some one would go through when losing someone immportant the depression and lonliness "its so cold in this house..." Then they lose contact with the person as in the dont return my calls lyrics, Next the anxiety causes a loss of appetite and a feeling of not wanting to go out into the harsh world that already hurt them with the loss. The pain feels like drinking poison or eating glass, lastly the crosses on the eyes represent the feeling of being lost without that person like anyone would feel with the loss of some one important. Then mistakes are made when you "walk into the furniture" because theres no guidance without the person. Idk im not quite sure but there deffinitley a feeling of deep loss in my oppinion not sure if im right but meh. |
