| Blink-182 – All of This Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Tom: "A friend of ours told us a story of when he was young, and got asked to go to the prettiest girl in high schools house. He rode his bike as fast as he could to get there, and she and her friend jumped out of the balcony and sprayed him with a hose. He rode home wet, sad and humiliated." In this song, the girl named 'Holly', previously mentioned in 'Easy Target' returns. In past interviews, Holly was actually Tom's first girlfriend who left him for his older brother. The lines "Use me Holly", refer to her only going out with him in order to get closer to his brother. I think the 'friend' that got sprayed with the hose is Tom himself during his youth. I think the whole song is just about one girl and no other girl's involve and that girl is holly Tom's girlfriend who used him. 'Nothing I know changes me at all' means he continued the relationship despite knowing he was used. 'Again I wait for this to change instead' means he's hoping eventually holly would actually really start liking him instead of just using him. 'Another night with her But I'm always wanting you' means he is with her(holly who pretends to like him) but what he really longed for is holly's real affection. Although referring to two individuals he's actually talking about a single person (her true self and what she pretends to be). |

| Jimmy Eat World – Lucky Denver Mint Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i think its about deciding to take a step which u dont know the outcome. taking a risky unknown path leaving everything ur familiar with and counting on ur dstiny to leed the way " This time it's on my own. Minutes from somewhere else."and as he leaves the place he is familiar he left a coin underwater for luck "At home I'll leave. A dollar under water keeps on dreaming for me." |

| Jimmy Eat World – Just Watch The Fireworks Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i think its about lovers being seperated unwillingly and their both apart in a unfamiliar locations but the guy was once alone before he met the girl "I've been here before but only by myself." so he promise her to cherish their love dispite the distance between them as he copes with her absence in his life "Here in center frame, there's only air. Just enough space to fit." "Just so I can hear you I stay up as late as it takes, as long as it takes. I promised I'd see it again. I promised I'd see this with you now." maybe he meant watching fireworks with her as they did when they were together. |

| Jimmy Eat World – My Sundown Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| to me its about strugling to escape a destiny set for u but u cant seem to be able to do so. the only way out is to end it all which doesnt necessarily mean suicide but to give up any atempt to control ur life or to just give up ur hopes and dreams. | |
| Jimmy Eat World – Hear You Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| its about overcoming an obstacle that completely drained u of ur spirit and confidence and after sometime of overcoming it u feel much stronger and experienced and ur thinking of ur self while u struggled to make it through and u thank urself for holding on.....lol....its doesnt make sense but its an emotion rather than reality | |
| Shawn Colvin – Sunny Came Home Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i think its about coping with a stressful life which each day end with u on the verge of breakdown trying ur best to maintain ur emotions>>"I'm walking on a wire I close my eyes and fly out of my mind" where letting go seems much easier then holding on. |

| The Smashing Pumpkins – Daydream Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| this reminds me of my days in single bedroom appartment where i spent every night looking at the stars and the moon through the window and take walks in the empty foggy streets nearby. it kinda makes being lonely feels nice at certain times | |
| The Smashing Pumpkins – Lily (My One and Only) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i dont think its entirely about a stalker but i think its about a boy whos completly in love with a girl beyond him and just try his best to get her notice him >>"cause i'm hanging in this tree in the hopes that she will catch a glimpse of me" peeping toms or stalkers prefer to be anonymous but the person describe isn't afraid of his love to be known so his intentions must pure not malicious. it kinda like a black humour |
