i think that this song is fantastic. the transformation of the man is remarkable for such a simple song.
in the beginning, he sings "is it you and me?" hopeful that perhaps he will find someone to complete himself... but as the song continues, he sings "is it you or me?" questioning himself about why things didnt work out. Questioning whether it was a problem within himself or a problem outside of himself. However when the continuation of the Ad he clearly has made a choice to not see that the true problem could be within himself. |

this song is fantastic. It connected with me the very first time i heard it because it reminded me so much of me. When i used to get in fights and tough situations i used to turn bitter and do anything just to get through it. This is what the guster boys are talking about. You be the 'demon' so you can protect yourself, seeming much harder than you are in truth. When guster sings it it's almost like you can feel what they are feeling when they sing it. You can tell that the demon is just there.. not really who they are. |

if anyone really wants to understand this song see City of Angels... it explains everything...."bleed just to know your alive" is because to live again angels have to jump off sky scrapers, "dont want the world to see me" is because angels can be visable at times and not in others and a woman takes a picture of ths angel and in the picture he is just mist... he gives up everything (or forever) to be with this woman that he cant be with unless hes human again.. honestly EVERYTHING is on the movie |
