I remember my dad telling me about this song and the Horses-album. It's one of my dads favourite songs and now I really like it too. There's so much energy in it, and the lyrics are pretty good as well. Yeah, actually I saw that this song was used in the new Toy Machine-video. And I felt so bad, when I saw that song in the credits, cause the song was taken from a punk-compilation and Patti Smith's Horses is one of the best albums ever, so it amazed me that Jonny Layton did'nt really knew about Horses when he uses on of the songs from there! |

I think this song is about breaking up or loosing a girl or a boyfriend. Looking back in time. See how wonderful everything was when you were in love. Having such a great time, you did not feel that anything can could stop you, everything was possible. But a time came where it all ended. The peace was out. You feel alone = "total silence". But you can sit alone in the dark forever crying, you have to move on, have fun with another person, fall in love, cause "the best thing god has created is a new day" Just my thoughts, the lyrics are pretty open. I really like this song. It's so beautiful and emotionally touching. And so are the video! |
