hit the button too early... thatothergirl... pretty much the same.. i love the line of what you said.. change ourselves for the better first rather than wage war against the old George W. .... (i am no longer interpreting the song but this line of what you said because it is awsome) it just kinda says make your own life right before you try and change the country. im not saying till things are perfect in your life before you take up a cause. but basicly... if all you do all day is smoke pot and play video games... dont think that you can change the world without putting down the joint and the controller and going out and doing somthing about it.... and i didnt know that rise against are all vegaterians... i dont agree with vegetarians. cause i think that A. when god put us here he put us in control of all the animals -when he created the world he set man in control of all beasts on land and in the ocean -genesis 1 vs.26 B. by natural selection we have emerged near the top of the food chain i kinda got off topic... but oh well i love rise against |

yeah... this song changed my perception of things completely. maybe i was blind before... but hearing the "your the new revolution the angst filled adolecent you fit that stereotype well" i realized... that if i get depressed... its probobly for a reason that is insignifican and selfisht... im not saying that im rich.. but im not poor.. and i dont think i have ever felt what need is... i hope this song helps every one as much as it did me. |

i dont like to say songs are about drugs, because that is too easy of an asnwer. i think this song has a lot of meaning though. but i think its mainly about the attitude toward life.(you can fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain, or you can fall in love with death and drink it from a fountain) wich is kinda goth vs. "normal"(i cant think of any better way to say it......) , the people that they describe as ".. in love with dyin" are goth and have misfortunate accidents..kinda.... it briefly mentions the other side of it in the life part. but it also says that no matter how you live you are gunna die death is a great word to describe what this song is about, or near death. im still tryin to puzzle out the smell you on my clothes.. maybe past memories... maybe... not sure about the sun metaphore. to me its a reference about good times and its the goth people speaking saying i dont mind the good time even though for the most part my life is depressing.... |
