The muse idea is brilliant...maybe that is why he makes the "papercut" analogy...you know since it might be about writing...perhaps he gets lightheaded when he doesn't have the inspiration to write...I know I do...I know I almost go fucking crazy if I'm not writing something...the obvious interpretation thought is a relationship dispute...but they are much like Tool. I read this thing on the Team Sleep website...and it said that most of Chino's songs deal with a different viewpoint of love and sex. I don't think they are HIS love songs, like recollecting an event through song, I think he offers it out to people...to relate...or something... |

The comment about it being a sex song makes a lot of sense, I just get that vibe when I hear the song. And not just hear the song. But HEAR the song.
Nevertheless, It is beautiful in a Radiohead way, the way it gives me chills. The screaming at the end is so amazing. Songs like these I feel like I shouldn't listen to that much because I never want to get tired of them. |

Why would she be killing herself, it clearly implies that she was four years old. I don't know any four year old that even knows what suicide is. Let alone understand it.
I do believe there is some foul play involved...the first time I actually listend to the lyrics I was shoked...then the actual music made sense...I always thought it would be some love song, or something topical. This is deep and very beautiful, in a way. Still depressing, though. Just got introduced to MTB. I'm thinking I'm gonna love them. |

I just discovered Radiohead the other day and it's like I found a pot of gold. I love them a lot, but I'm kinda dissapointed because I thought he was sayin' "In a little while I'll be drunk." I think that would give the song more depression, because that is why I love them. I love their melancholy tone. But the song is good as is...and I want to have sex with it. |

The music is so amazing...Maynard is one of the few people who shares the fame with the band members...I always feel great after listening to this song, only I've been to a couple other lyric sites and when he says "cut it all right in two" I cant tell if he is saying "cut, divide it all right in two" or "cut it all right in two"

I got dissapointed when I read about the child molestation thing...it's such a seductive song...very hauntingly beautiful...I cried when I first heard it, of course that was in my "soft music phase" days, but I still love to listen to this song, it brings back memories (not sexual memories, but just good memories)

I think he is in love with his cousin, and it makes his summer go fast, and every time he sees a train, he thinks about leaving her and going home.
So when it comes to the kissing part, and he hears the engine pass, it means he misses the train to stay with her, because he loves her so much. And "it's ok" means he is telling everyone that it is okay to be in that kind of love. Because love is love is love is love. Doesn't matter with who :) |
