This part is about Aung San Suu Kyi being on house arrest. She was put into a house with a huge fence around it but no roof (the open cage) and she wouldnt leave until she had brought peace to the country. Her husband was on his deathbed in England when she was in the house, she was allowed to leave but could never return to Burma. She chose to stay and fight the government. Thats what i call dedicated. U2 made this song for her and as a result of this U2 was pretty much banned through the whole country and no-one could listen to it. |

Anyone who hasnt seen the videoclip of this song mixed with walk on, on the "tribute to heroes" thing for the victims of the WTC incident should watch it. Bono sings peace on earth at the start and you can literally see the pain on his face and it looks as though he is about to cry. It gave me goosebumps when i first saw it |

This song is a really important thing for me, at the start of the year i lost my grandpa. Me and him were very close and i didnt see him for almost 3 weeks before he died. As a result of this i turned suicidal, and the first time i heard this song after his death it made me realise that life is a treasure and that i should live for another beautiful day. Big thanx to Bono for that song |
