This song can have many different meanings, any song can. OKAY... Dead is what he is- *Mansons view of god* He does what he please- *because he is god he can do harsh things, or great things* **NOW RIGHT HERE THE LYRICS COULD CHANGE INTO 2 DIFFERENT SENTENCES** ...EITHER... 1. The things that he has You're never gonna see - *you will never see these things that you have been taught, because in Manson opinion, there is no god or heaven* ...OR... 2. In the world everyone is anti-something. In 1996 this was happening often. Being the anti-christ character, he was the master of all pain and suffering- so he could see the whole, anti-this anti-that was only going to get worse as the years passed, and it did. We all hate something, even the "HoLy ChRiStIaNs" hate things. I think Manson is trying to show us that we are responsible for our actions, the hypocritical people who preach loving, even hate things, and this in itself will bring on the anti-christ. Those anti-groups are still here, they did not make an impact in the world! - although they might have killed a few people here and there, no real big change has happened. Their actions only cause more hate, and more and more people being born into hate, is what will bring the anti-christ. "Anti people now you've gone too far here's your antichrist superstar" -Taz- |

| I love how Manson wrote this. I think that we all need to look outside of ourselves and this world. "The stars are no nearer" I love this because I feel like this means no matter how close we are to certain things ( he is a spaceman and still the stars are far away) this could be verywell the same as religion.. although we may read the Bible and pray, we are still not anywhere near the God we pray to, and when we get in heaven, if thats what we believe, God will still be as far away as he was when we would pray (AKA) we won't be there at all. "They just glitter like a morgue" we may have been told great sories we have had great expectations about religion, etc. but we you really see them for what they are (fake) they look horrible, they automatically lose the meaning they once had. Basically he sat outside of himself and looked beyond, a thing many people would be afraid to do... This points out everything the world has been so naive to see... when I hear this song the thing that most sticks out is obviously religion, people have built up a security blanket they call Jesus...this world is way too white, to numb, to one-sided... | Although I feel like it is not worth saying, in respect for Kurt Cobain RIP, the DVD that Eminem made is called, EMINEM: THE SLIM SHADY SHOW UNCUT. I had a really hard time watching this cartoon when it first came out! It is one thing to joke about Hitler, but to go as far as joking about the death of the great inspiration Kurt Cobain, is outrageos! also I feel like fighting about ones opinion is insane! When a music artist writes a meaningful song, the last thing they want is chaos about its meanings! Don't be naive, look beyond just words, and there YOU will find the answers that are meant for YOU to know. Not everyone will have the same opinions, that is the power of music!
