Ok..i guess everyone has a right to their own opinion..and much respect to all of yours..but i wanna git mine in too...so..here we go.. I think the song actually has a religious meaning..in the first verse Kroeger is saying that he feels the world is so close to ending that he feels like he is almost to heaven already, but just barely missing out...In the choruse they speak as if the Lord is the Hero who as yet to rapture, and the longer they wait the more ppl they will see die, "fly away"...The second verse by Scott is simple, he is expecting the Lord to save him from the hate filled world of "killing and blood spilling" to a world of greater love, "but that world (the Lord) never came"...The bridge is a little difficult, but i think i got it down..Kroeger is saying since the Lord hasn't came yet, that he is sending his the love to us the best he can, and b/c its not as strong as the Lord's love, he's afraid that we won't accecpt his...They're watching us reffers to the Lord and his angels watching us from heaven..and as we die one by one..they're watching us..
