hmm, it may be a personal situation that's making me think this, but it sounds to me like someone likes the songwriter, and they're close friends, and the songwriter knows that the person is really awesome, and in their head, it all makes perfect sense to just go out with that person. but, there's no real feelings other then friendship. And so, they're trying to basically say, "you're really rad, and in my head, dating you would be awesome, but there's just no chemistry. my heart doesn't feel anything like that for you." that's my take, anyways. really good song :] |

i just had one of those moments where you're feeling something, and then a song that you've known for awhile comes on and all of a sudden you hear it in a totally different way then before, and it all fits your feelings perfectly. (it was this song, btw) anyone know what i'm talking about? anyways, not a bad song... in truth, it's actually really good, but i'm not going to lie, their old stuff is so much...better (for lack of a better word). i was listening to "Tell All Your Friends" the other day for the first time in awhile. whoa, that stuff, it just feels more like how i think Taking Back Sunday should feel. At least to me anyways, still, a really good song, and i love araebean's explination of it. that's actually almost exactly the situation i'm in at the moment, so having this song to express that for me is just too rad for words :] |
