I love this song...I think there's some denial here..."No I don't need you" repeated over and over. My favourite lines are "So I look at every woman Just to see if there's something there for me And I look up every moment Just to know if I'm missing something sweet" like he tries to find love in everybody he meets, but knows it wont ever be as good as with the other person. Beautiful song |

Kerrang is bad? KERRANG? What about MTV? Excuse me if I'm wrong, but MTV havn't played actual music videos for years...Oh sure, they play cribs, and room raiders, and pimp my ride...all the IMPORTANT stuff. I'm pretty sure the last time they actually played music was April last year on the 10th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death..and even that was a one off... Yeah, I'm sure they started out as some tiny little group of people in a basement in Figi..back then I bet it was about the god damn music...before the bigwigs in NY turned it in to BLOODSUCKING CORPORATE MONEY-MAKING MACHINE!...Don't get me wrong i've got nothing against NY its awesome...but DAMN MTV TO HELL Ok..I think that it's out of my system... To me, this song is about fame, I'm pretty sure that's why Kurt liked it so much. The chorus may not seem to make sense, but it does if you think about it. "nothing on top but a bucket and a mop and an illustrated book about birds" this part is about once you reach fame. you have the bucket and the mop to keep your plateau clean, and the book just to enjoy the view. and the verses make complete sense if you think about it like this This version of the song is miles better than the meat puppet's one, but you still have to admire their song writing |
