I cannot say enough about sam as a songwriter and a guitar player. His lyrical content almost seems to coincide with the tone of the guitar. He always seems to write songs that stir emotion no matter where you are or what you are doing. |

from the awesome guitar intro to the incredibly simple yet catchy and meaningful lyrics, this song represents what minus the bear does. They make you feel the music. One of the best lines in the whole song is "we look good side by side". Amazingly simple, yet eliquent. MTB, completely amazing band.

Awesome song by John. The lines "I'm gonna steer clear Cus I'd die if I saw you I'd die if I didn't see you there" is so true when you really want to see someone but sight of that person hurts you everytime. |

I think that this song in particular of his is a way to live your life. I truly believe that the line " believe that my life's gonna see, the love I give, returned to me' can speak for us all. Never think you love too much and if the person you love doesnt love you back, someone else will. " and i wont be the first to love her" and " no you wont be the last to love me" speak so deeply to anyone who feels alone or hurt, that theres always love waiting to be given and recieved. |

Again, John paints a beautiful picture using the art of song. I've never heard a songwriter than can bring to life so many emotions in songs so frequently as john does. "should have seen that sunrise with your own eyes, it brought me back to life" says it all. |
