by the way, I like all of their songs, and almost all have come to me at different times when I've been going through parrts of my day. All of them have some particular meaning and unique quality to them. They are a really great band all over and I really enjoy their songs. |

Dave Monks is an amazing poet, which I think is his true profession first and foremost before being a musician. I wish I had the inspiration to write such compelling lyrics. They're meaningful and melodic, yet catchy and simplistic.

I've heard her interviewed (and also met her in person!) and she used to be a back-up dancer for other swedish artists. So If there's anything that could be about something like that it's dancing. But I'm pretty positive it's about her music career because I know she's worked really hard to get as far as she has, especially with such an unusual singing style. |

i love the truth in all of death cab's songs, but i really think it's neat that they reference Silver Lake in Hollywood in this song. It's an artsy little town with college kids and it's totally how i would picture these guys spending their time in LA, because it has the same vibe as Seattle |

to me i feel that this song is about how someone changed this person's life, and for some reason, they aren't with them anymore, and the person wants them back, it's heart wrenching, and real, i love it

i view this song as about a guy who is stuck in past relationships, and in one moment of seeing this girl, his whole perspective changes. it's a beautiful song, and i don't think i could ever get tired of it |

I'm not quite sure what this song is about, but to me, it sounds like God telling a soldier to carry on, and keep moving.
Love Kansas, they're an awesome band, and it's pretty hilarious to see this song in Anchorman with Will Feril, he's a pretty funny guy. |

this song definitely has a biblical foundation, no matter what the true meaning is, it's about Mary, Jesus's mother, yes, the Virgin Mary. The verse that gives the fact that it's Jesus is "ain't nobody knows what the new born holds but his mama says he'll walk on water"
i was very excited when i realized this was in reference to the Bible, because i'm a Christian, and obviously, Jesus is a major part in my life |
