I love this song! having it in french is just so haunting to hear.. i love it. I believe that in this song he wants to be protected from some relationship he had and wishes to continue it but it has to come to an end in order to save him of getting hurt or potentially hurting someone else. I hate to have to relate to such a thing, but it's the truth and it's for my own good. |

I agree these guys rock. I haven't heard the original version of this song, but the remake of it on there latest album, Discovering the Waterfront, really catched my attention. I don't know if it was the way i could relate to the song or if it was the catchy beat. Either way it's a great song. i think this song is about a long distant relationship, on how one regrets breaking of there relationship, beacuse they figured that this great distance will be too big of an obsticle to stay together. |

Actualy, J.T. wrote this song for a friend who was having relationship problems. It was how his friends girlfriend was cheating on him and the guy had no clue. "The opening lyrics are about how sometimes everyone else can see a devil in disquise, except the person that the devil is after. You know when you you have a friend whose boyfriend/girlfriend treats them badly, and they don't have a clue. Sometimes you just want to say, " That girl treats you like shit, get over it." I have a special edition of the album, which included "an inside look at the silence in black and white" told by J.T. Woodruff. and he says: "Someone described our music as a great blend of sandpaper and silk. I thought that was kind of neat. This song is about the Dayton music scene. The second we signed to VIctory people hated us in Dayton, Ohio. Certain bands felt as if we didn't earn it. We have been playing music in Dayton for 4 years or so. I think we have graduated Dayton scene college with a four year degree. "Let's trynot to forget where we are and who we're with." This particularly means remeber where you are and how you ogt to where you are. So many peoples forget this when they have a taste of sucess. We are happy to go back to play Dayton when we can. The people who support us come to the show, and the people who don't sit at home and bitch about the ticket prices." So yeah, hopes this helps everyone. |

Yes, yes, this song is amaizing.. with lyrics so brutal. You can hear the emotion in his voice... so powerful. My favorite line of the song is "i'd rather die than have to see your smile" it's pretty harsh and i hope i would never have to feel this way about someone, yet the way he sings it just makes me feel his hatred.. Yeah i saw these guys live at warped tour... they weren't suppost to be there but they were able to squeeze in on the smart punk stage. Man i can't wait to get there new album, coming out on august 16. these guys rock. Oh and EarlyNov7 there is no religious meaning to this song.. like clearly about heart break.. |
