This is a personal song and if you know what he is talking about it makes alot of sense. In his autobiography(Antony Keidis)he says he was at a very lonely stage in his life whilst writing blood sugar sex magik because he became a heavy cocaine and heroin user. One day he decided to stop drugs stopped drugs. He got help and did and thought everything would be OK. His friends(Flea and John.F)Were growin apart from him and he felt lonely. He was unhappy and he went under a bridge in the scums of LA and did drugs with mexican dealers. On the way home whilt he was high he wrote this as a piece of poetry(he liked doing tht and paint and draw whilst being high)and had it in his house. One day Rick Rubin came to his house to help him with lyrics(he was producer of B.S.S.M)and seen this piece of poetry. it was very personal to Antony but Rick suggested he turned it into a song. He brought it to the studio and they were waiting on flea. John.F and Chad.S said lets see this song and they were to their instrments and started fooling around and thus the beautiful song of B.S.S.M was born. |

In his autobiography(Antony Keidis)He said he write this song about the irish singer Sinead. He adored her and they were more than friends and one day she phoned him and told him shes leaving LA and doesn't want him to go see her before she leaves. He phoned up John Frusciante(Who is by far a great musician)who was the guitarist for the chili peppers at the time and they wrote this song. He then gave it to her in the mail. Much later he met her at some music awards and she was in a limo. She stopped and said "hi" and he said it was very uncomfortable and he said that the line "The stare she bares cut me" made so much more sense after he wrote the song... |

Hmm it is definetly about gettin drunk. Maybe about Getting together with a woman at a bar or what not, youve had a dance with her, your drunk, you go back to her house have sex and she boots you out! The line "hand me down my pants and get me off this street" Could make sense in this form plus the line "i'm passed out in your garden" |
