Lady A – Need You Now Lyrics 15 years ago
You're on the right track... but this is a duet, and gives the Perspectives of BOTH sides. SHE looks at old pictures scattered across the floor, and misses him, and needs him... HE drinks Wiskey so he doesn't have to think about her, but WISHES that she would just come sweeping into his life.

The key to this song is that BOTH parties view the other person in Exactly the same way, the other party continually hurts them(NOT ON PURPOSE, but sadly just by being themselves.) and they both know that the other person is who they are MEANT to be with, but can't be, so instead they default to "Safty Sex/companionship, etc etc." because they can't lose each other, but at the same time, can't have each other.

I wish you the best of luck in your own story... I ABSOLUTELY love my best friend, and will Always be there for her, even while she dates my other best friend... because It's better to hurt than to feel nothing at all. If he really is your best friend, then make sure that you two ALWAYS know how each other feels, though I don't know you, I HOPE that your story turns out brighter than mine.

Brand New – Okay I Believe You, but My Tommy Gun Don't Lyrics 15 years ago
Sorry Chels... but you only see the surface point of the song... Bottom line is, His girlfriend Cheated on him with his BEST FRIEND... John Nolan of TBS/Straylight Run... John and Jesse grew up together and at the time Jesse wrote this song... Brand new was starting to hit it big and TBS was stuggling/going through line up changes.

This song is Jesse's Song to John(and tbs in general, a band that had come up along side Brand New) on How he felt, whilst simotaineously throwing jabs at his Ex. And even though this song is VERY Sarcastic, if you read the subtext, you can see that Jesse wants to reconsile with John... Unlike a Song like "Jude Law and a Semester abroad" where there is no view of Reconsiliation... Just the overwhelming desire for that person who fucked you over to Literally Go die in a fire, LOL.

This is one of the more complicated songs on Deja Entendu,

The Postal Service – Nothing Better Lyrics 15 years ago
Lacrosse would be the best bet... as Seattle isn't really known for it's Hockey. Anyways... if it helps you sleep at night Assume that It IS hockey, and He's trying to prevent a score and get an extra period... which would make the game have a 4th period, holding his statement as valid. He's hoping to "Win the game" in the extra period, because he knows if it comes down to a shoot out... that She will win... So he tries, and says that "there could be nothing better" but every shot he takes gets misses... so at the end of the game... she says to him...

"You've got a lure I can't deny(Good Game)
But you've had your chance(shots) so say goodbye
Say goodbye"

So dispite his best efforts, she still won the shoot out, but that's ok there's a new game next week(future relationships)

How's THAT for thinking outside of the box! =D

Emilie Autumn – Thank God I'm Pretty Lyrics 15 years ago
Listen to yourself. Regardless of her message, and what I believe it is, this song is SOAKED in wit. You are correct, MOST guys value looks, almost as much as most girls Value penis size.

Women don't want the white night, they want the guy they can change into their image of "Mr. Right."

There our EXCEPTIONS on both sides, though if you are just looking for Mr. Right and not willing to accept a guy for his Amazing qualities AND his Faults... Well, good luck in your search.

ALl this being said, I think EA is Incredibly Sexy... but It's not her looks that are attractive, It's her Intellect.

She just UNDERSTANDS that in HER Business, it's EASIER to reach more people Via stockings and Curl than By her ability Alone...

Which SPEAKING Of, Most people don't realize that though she plays Victoriandustrial music, she's an AMAZING Violinist. She was a Child Prodigy and Like many prodigies of their team... Hasn't always had the easiest of times.

Close... Just interchange X for that drugged up feeling you get at a really amazing Concert.

It's all about the music...

"Turn it up I never wanna go home
I only wanna be part of your breakdown"

"She got caught by the four on the floor
It picked her up and she'll never get let down"

Both of the opening lines clearly tell you it's all about the music... Bush5150's Take on it on page 3 is a pretty good reference, as I'm being to lazy to type. CHeck it out.

The All-American Rejects – My Paper Heart Lyrics 16 years ago
This Isn't actually a break up song. Instead of thinking about it like that... Think about it like this. He really likes a girl, and wants to be with her, but she has had her heart broken in the past and a part of her still loves that person. So he is pleading with her not to toy with him, to let go of her old love(bottle it up and throw it out to sea) He tells her that it's been a year since that time, and he's begging her not to ruin what they have because of these lingering feelings.

I've been both roles in this song. It sucks to be in love with someone, and they essentially shit on you.

Anyways, still a good song.

John Cale – Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen cover) Lyrics 16 years ago
Speaking of Someone who has missed the boat... Though you got a part of a very litteral surface meaning, i think you missed the major meaning behind the song.

First of all This song isn't about a "thankfulness and appreciation" for ones creator at all... If anything else it is a "search and rescue" for faith in general(faith in life, love, happiness, ect etc) regardless of ones relegious beliefs. Cohen, The masterful wordsmith that he was, just used Religious as a metaphor, but there are MANY MANY other undertones, including life, love, and sex. Religion is just a small part of it.

And Cale does a BRILLIANT job of bringing all the emotion of the song to bear.

Masterful arrangement for a Masterful song.

Rent – La Vie Boheme Lyrics 19 years ago
LMAO indefeat.

Imaginary, although what you said is true, you are missing one MAJOR thing. This is a musical, and being such requires you to look at this from a non-concrete perspective.

They are not singing this song as a way of showing the business men off at all. If you think that, you are misinterperating the song entirely. They are singing this song as a retort to the line Benny presents in the beginning. He says "Bohemia is dead." They are simply singing a song celebrating the right to be free, and the right be happy doing what YOU want to do, not worring about what everyone else thinks.

Sterotypical or not, it doesn't matter, it's not what the song is about, and Do you honestly think the "impromtu salon" is ever going to take place?

This entire musical is about living life for life... If you consider Living life the way you wanna live it living life for pleasure, than yes, They are Hedonists. So be it.

The fact that you open with:
“La Vie Boheme” is probably the most unfortunate number of the entire musical." and a
"10 minute raunchfest, DESIGNED ONLY to shock Benny’s business partners."

Tells me that you know very little of the true meaning of the song, or the entire musical for that matter. The entire point of the song is actually the exact opposite of what you said. The cast isn't trying to Shock anyone. They are saying who cares what anyone thinks, as long as it's cool with yourself. Basically whatever floats your boat, rocks your craddle, shivers ye timbers... ya get the picture...

I would be really interested to read the rest of your report and debate socio-analytical discepancies.

Oh, and not to mention, any1 who can actually flow so many things together is very talented in the first place... The song is catchy and awesome to just tap your foot to...

Let us notice an awesome song, and a very cool tribute to an awesome movie in the video. In the movie he is fighting himself, and in the song he's fighting himself aswell. The part iwth the girls beating him down is just that. Sortof an everyone against the subject feeling... get it?

LOL Emo 4 u. This is hardly emo. He uses a slam deliver which is AWESOME, and although I'm not Christian, I can still listen to his words and appreciate them. He is very talented, and I assure you that every word in this was picked for maximum effect.

He uses sterotypes to break them. Although some of his other songs are more "emo" this particular song is about as emo as your everyday country song. He is saying that manhood is defined by your charecter and your heart, not by your physical features or actions.

It's brilliant.

Silverchair – Miss You Love Lyrics 20 years ago
Desert think of it like this...

A girl LOVES a guy, more than anything in the world... but she doesn't love him as a partner, just a friend...

The guy loves this girl with all of his heart, and wants them to be together, but she sees him as just friends... and wants him to see her as "just a friend."

So... "I love the way you love,(meaning he loves her as a friend and he is glad they are, BUT...) but I hate the way I'm supposed to love you back." (He doesn't want to love her as JUST a friend. He wants to love her as a partner)

I know that might not be the true meaning, but I have and still am that guy, so I see the meaning in this light.

I could do it for everylyric of the song and it would fit us perfectly... but that's the great thing about songs, any1 and every1 takes something a little different from it... well, any1 with an atleast somewhat open mind...

This is going to sound crazy, but I think it is about a man going through a mid-life crisis, realizing that he is still wants to be young. He is a successful, powerful, kind, magnetic, and an admired individual (with heart of gold) who realizes that he must ( or want ) tp be living. he is giving the advice to the younger men that he knows to live now, b/c life passes you by- "you must be living" ..."you have no time to lose"
And when you're older you realize how much you long for sparks, being impulsive and having freedom-you want to be alive again- The sucessful man (the general) had many achievements throughout his life...during the younger years, when he was focused on is career only and not living his life. He is this person that everyone (the younger men)look up to an respect.
"He grew a beard as soon as he could to cover the scars on his face"=meaning covering his is past b/c he is disgraced with the meaningless(his perception) of the life he lived...until he came to the realization (which lead to a midlife crisis) that life is too short, get out there enjoy every second. And I think that, "go now you are forgiven" (I believe that the lyrics are forgiven and not forgiving) but I think that line is a conclusion to how the general took action. I'm reaching here but I think that the action was attempting to live his life , practicing what he preached...and after this action was carried out he realized afterward that it was a temporary state of insanity (which could have been he thought he was in love) and then coming back to reality (wife, children, responsibility)
"The fight is not worth fighting" THE FIGHT meaning fighting to be young again and livng on the edge, because in the end it is"not worth fighting" because of all that he will lose at this point in is life (family, morals, pride) But at the same he becomes more of a man through this mid-life crisis, who is human - who makes mistakes, and gives this advice to the younger men. That's when the "you are forgiven" part comes in.... someone who loves him, says, you did what you had to do--"go now" back to your life (wife, kids) "you are forgiven". This other someone knew how everyone respected him, knew what he went through and is the one telling the story.
The general was a good person but made mistakes, and was human, just like the rest of us.

Placebo – Every You Every Me Lyrics 20 years ago
ok... First of all... Awesome Interp DmDevil... Your like the first one to actually get the "Box" lines. The only thing I don't agree with.... Near the end of the song. The lines...

Sucker love is known to swing.
Prone to cling and waste these things.
Pucker up for heavens sake.
There's never been so much at stake.

I serve my head up on a plate.
It's only comfort, calling late.
Cuz there's nothing else to do,

What he is saying is that sometimes your swinging up, sometimes your swinging down. He FALLS for a girl. He gets attached, but after sex, when he goes in for a kiss... she rejects him. He becomes the Sucker, but he realizes it. He trieshis hardest (I serve my head up on a plate.) to be with the girl, but she is rejects him.
He sees how it feels to be on the backside of the swing, but knows the game and knows he has lost it. "Cuz there's nothing else to do,
Every me and every you."

The last few lines are him regreting it. He knows that he is selfish and unkind for wanting what he has denied so many, and unkind for continuing to deny people. No matter what he falls into sucker love. Some1 to hurt and leave.

Like the naked leads the blind.
I know I'm selfish, I'm unkind.
Sucker love I always find,
Someone to bruise and leave behind.

The Darkness – I Believe In A Thing Called Love Lyrics 20 years ago
I actually thought this song was annoying at first, but I still respected it. Anyone with a vocal range (no matter if they are rock, glamrock, pop, or hxc) has some talent. Whenever I saw this song at first, I thought of it as a parody. It is a Classic "Glam Rock" Song. Period. Who cares if they are influenced by queen. EVERY band takes parts from other bands that have influenced them, but many bands Don't have the vocal/musical ability in general that The Darkness does. Now everytime I heard the song I sing along, and if you watch the video, and know ANY thing about the "History of pop/rock" you will laugh your ass off.

Great Homage to Oldschool Glam. I'm not even a fan of Glam rock, but you have to respect these guys. Not only for their talents, but to have the Gusto to do something that is so "Non-mainstream anymore" and get people listening to it and listening to queen and such more.

Green Day – American Idiot Lyrics 20 years ago
Ok, First of all, You, starry, Your an Idiot. I bet Your one of those people that consider Greenday an Alt rock band? Am I right? Learn the History of something before You bash it. Second of all, Before you call Green Day, "Who if you know the Meaning behind thier songs" isn't Poser at all, but Punk. They were 90's Punk GODS, and You call them Posers... Yeah, your bright. and American Idiot is a PUNK song. The story behind it was that that No1 from the Punk scene was saying anything about the Shit going on in America, so they decided to. Third, This is a Concept album of Sorts, so alot of the songs have multiple meanings, that doesn't mean you can bash people because thier Meaning isn't your own.

And Last... If You don't know where greenday started, Look up 924 Gilman Street, or The Gilman...

Basically, don't go on a board and Bash a song or an Artist, or the other members of the board, and if you do, atleast get ur freaking facts straight...

Unwritten Law – Save Me (Wake Up Call) Lyrics 20 years ago
ok, First of ALL, Wilting-tears, You are awesome... This video is made in the same "Rough animation" style as "Waking Life" and It's awesome that some1 else was observant enough to notice... So many people are so pigeon holed, It's good to see some1 who can see different types of things. Like Why the video looks rough... It's supposed to. If You have ever seen an Ethan Hawke Indy or anything, you will get it better.

Second of all, for all you people that are like This is is "Obviously" about this... DUH... Of course it is, because thats what YOU take from it...

If you actually want to know the meaning behind this song, read a UL interview or watch the video. It's full of hints.

I personally think...
This song has a ton of layers... For one, It's about a drug addiction (Duh!), for two, It's about Losing yourself (or control of yourself), and losing the ones you love because of it, and what it can do to you and those around you... Theres alot more, but those are 2 obvious ones...

And to Westesen- That is actually a good take one the car thing... I think that it is his hell... That nomatter what he does, he can't get what he wants... If You know who tantalus was... That will explain the car. If you don't know who he was... find out in Greek myth.

and Speaking of "Waking Life" I remember this quote that fits the song nicely... The worst mistake that you can make is to think you're alive when really you're asleep in life's waiting room.

Songs have a way of Morphing to let the Listener hear what they want to... If you listen to any good song, you can get multiple meanings out of it, This is one of those qualities that makes a song enduring...

Just my 2 cents...

lol Muse... Computer shorthand FTW... and I was really bored and sleep deprivaded... and I was reading what all these people were writing about the different songs, and How some were really awesome and some others were totally off base... This is just kinda How I saw everything play out in my mind though... Like From a Screen Writers point of view... (It's a side effect of being an actor/drama person) I swear, when I was typing it, I felt like only 45 to 50 minutes had pasted... cause I already kinda had the storyline and was just making changes as I read more good Ideas and such... It wasn't just my idea, but a torrent of great ideas from tons of people...

I'm seriously thinking about Writing a screenplay to this, With a shitload of corrections of course... (That was just like a stream of conciesness roughdraft.)

Kinda Like "Requiem For a Dream." Meets "Bonnie and Clyde" and both of them have a carwreck into "Hang em High."

My Chemical Romance – I Never Told You What I Do For a Living Lyrics 20 years ago
I have found out many things about MCR in the Past few days, and I must say, that if anything their Lyrics/songs make for some interesting stories to be told...

This is what I posted on the letssingit.com board before I read any of this, and before I knew so much more about the album...

"Touched by angels though, I fall out of grace
I did it all so maybe I’d live this everyday"

He's talking about everything the band went thru to get to this point...

and "It ain't the money
And it sure as hell ain't just for the fame
It’s for the bodies I claim and those"
It's saying that this isn't for money or fame, but for the fans (bodies) they get...

and
"And we'll all dance alone to the tune of your death
We’ll love again, we'll laugh again
And it's better off this way"

It's like he's trying to say that he knows they eventually their music will fade out only to be replaced by a new sound...

Does that make sense to anyone... or am I just way to outside the box...

Since then I have found out SO MUCH ABOUT this album, and It went from being a good Album to a to a FUCKING GREAT album...

OK... so I think I got the Basic story line down ***this is just my take on it from what I know so far, and is very subject to change***... (Since this is sort of what I do for a living)

Helena- Helena Has dual meanings... First it’s about His Grandmother, sort of a tribute, but it is also almost like a Foreshadow of what’s to come. This is where it all starts... Their funeral. Their? Yes... The song says, "Can you hear me?
Are you near me?
Can we pretend
to leave again
And meet again
When both our cars collide?"
So is this How they met, or... Do both their cars colliding mean both Hearses meeting at the cemetery together?
This is also sort of the first stage to the 5 stages of death... Denial. He is remembering good times, and doesn't want to leave them... "Things are better if I stay."

Give em Hell Kid- This is sort of like a high speed flashback... The first line sets the mood for the whole song, but the end of the first stanza asks if they can settle up the score... like something went wrong or the drugs they were doing were bad, like that something happened at the "Murder scene." This story is a common one. If you don't believe me, check out this Conscience (wow I can't spell) The Movie Hang em High (sound formilier) stars Clint Eastwood, where he is wrongly hung by a group of men, but he survives the hanging, and proceeds to bring Justice to all those men. Or the Original Comic Batman/new Batman movie... Some1 wrongs him and he vows to settle up the score. This Song also shows some signs of the second stage... Anger...

To the end- This song is where she is in a Coma state, and he asks her to marry him... and He doesn't have many friends, because he has killed them...

You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison-
This song is after He has killed them and what he goes through because of it... He talks of being held up in a restaurant, and spending time in prison, and he says that no one has known the troubles he's seen... This song is a transition song...

"And then he says how we're just two men, as God had made us
Well I can't, well I can
Too much, too late, or just not enough of this
Pain in my heart for your dying wish
I kiss your lips again"

Here is his first contact with the Devil (possibly a cellmate?)... And Him debating it... Since The Devil was Created by god, but cast from heaven... as the bible says anyways. He is talking of her last wish... This is the Third Stage of death... Bargaining

I'm not ok (I Promise) - This is the Bargaining didn't work FLIP OUT song... He starts talking about random moments when she did things, or trips they had together, and how she could read him, but that he was so worn down by it... and then he goes into Uber Manic flip out mode... "But you really need to listen to me Because I'm telling you the truth I mean this, I'm okay (Trust me) I'm not okay I'm not okay Well, I'm not okay I'm not o-fucking-kay I'm not okay I'm not okay (Okay)”

The ghost of you -

This song is about Him losing her... He is past the manic flip out mode and is now in the manic depressive mode... and you know what Depression is... The Fourth stage of death... This is one of my Favorite songs, because of the emotion he puts into it. This is the song where he wants to die... Where he wants to fall... Depression.

The Jetset life is gonna kill you.
OK, First of all, I would like to thank Chingy69 for this... You’re awesome
"I totally agree with it being about using meth. But to me it is more then that, it tells a story. I'll do a line by line.

"Gaze into her killing jar
I'd sometimes stare for hours.
She even poked the holes so I can breathe."

This is my favorite stanza! Awesome analogy. His girlfriend is addicted. And while she is under the control of meth, he is under her control.

"She bought the last line.
I'm just the worst kind.
Of guy to argue.
With what you might find.
And for the last night I lie.
Could I lie with you?"

Right along with it, he is under her influence. He's a guy who has fallen for her and will do anything for her. Even live the life she lives.

"Alright...
Give up. Get down.
It’s just the hardest part of living.
She wants. It all to come down this time."

It's all about the never-ending cycle of meth. The snake eating itself. You get up and it wears off. Then you take another hit. Up! ... Then down... you get the picture. But this time on her downer she has become especially destructive.

It gives the weak flight.
It gives the blind sight.
Until the cops come.
Or by the last light.
And for the last night I lie.
Could I lie next to you?

Drugs not only give you a euphoric feeling, (and this definitely depends on how you use it), but it also gives you a glimpse into your future self. Part of the emotion and high that stems from drugs really stems from you. That's why it affects everyone in a different way. You've heard the term high on life? Well, that is true. There is a way you can really find to be naturally high. And let me tell you, its better then a drug."

This is what is Referred to in the first stanza of 'Give em Hell kid" Ephedrine is an upper, and has many of the same effects on you as Meth (aka Speed) "She bought the last line I'm just the worst kind Of guy to argue With what you might find And for the last night I lie Could I lie with you?" This song is Acceptance... the Final stage. He finally accepts that it that she did this to her self, and that he is ready to let her go... To pull the plug, to take it all down... He explains that she is gone, and what the drugs did..."Lost in the prescription she's got something else in mind, Check into the Hotel Bella Muerte (Beautiful Death), it gives the weak flight; it gives the blind sight, until the cops come." He accepts that she is gone (not dead, but gone to the drugs) and now It's his turn to, in a since, die, to get her back... Acceptance. The Final stage of death.
Interlude-

"Since we talked alone
Come angels of the unknown
Come angels of unknown"
*I'm not sure if these are the Correct Lyrics*

Prosaic said: "I think the song has a double meaning. One being the tie-in to the "concept." The other is in reference to the Way's grandmother who died." I agree with him, but as far as how it ties into the concept... I sort of Agree with Maxcalifornia who said "hmm, a shot in the dark maybe, but maybe the "come of angels unknown" means something to do with the angels not being from heaven (the known), but from hell. So it's about his (lonely) journey to hell. Plus it’s pretty morbid, and kind of plodding, so I think yeh, it’s about his lonely journey, or maybe after the journey, and he's pleading for his biatch back."
This interlude transitions from the end of death (aka the drugs), to his deal with the devil. and MexCalifornia explained it as good as I could in...
Thanks for the Venom-
This is perhaps the coolest song on the album, and this is probably where I'm going to lose the people I haven't lost already. This is the song that sets the tone for the second part of the album... This is his deal with the devil, but the devil is disguised as her or is her. "Sister, I'm not much a poet, but a criminal And you never had a chance Love it, or leave it, you can't understand A pretty face, but you do so carry on And on and on I wouldn't front the scene if you paid me I'm just the way that the doctor made me On and on and on and on Love is the red of the rose on your coffin door What's life like, bleeding on the floor, the floor, the floor" He tells her/the devil that she never had a chance, says that she has a pretty face, but that she talks to much, but this is where his idea comes...He tells her that he will make all the people that made her sick give him their all their poisons, all their pills... and their hearts (aka their lives.) I think he is telling her... If this is what you want to do... then fire at will. Not at Him, but at all those other people. Those 1000 evil men that you hear so much about. Old School Vigilante Justice Style... Which brings about...
Hang em High-This is the quintessential Flip out and Kill shit song... As I said before "Hang em High the Movie, is basically what this song is all about, just Imagine Bonnie and Clyde instead of Eastwood...

Wait until it fades to black
Ride into the sunset
Would I lie to you?
Well I've got something to say
Grab your six-gun from your back
Throttle the ignition
Would I die for you?
Well here's your answer in spades

Shotgun sinner, wild-eyed jokers
Got you in my sights
Gun it while I'm holding on

After all is said and done
Climb out from the pine box
Well I'm asking you
Cause she's got nothing to say
The angels just cut out her tongue
Call her black Mariah
Would I lie to you?
That girl's not right in the brain

Mass convulsions
Strike the choir
By the grace of God
Gun it while I'm holding on

But, don't stop if I fall
And don't look back
Oh baby, don't stop
Bury me and fade to black

She won't stop me
Put it down

She won't stop me
Put it down

So get your gun
And leave me by the door

Don't stop if I fall
And don't look back
Oh baby don’t stop
Bury me and fade to black

This song is about them killing people. He describes his love for her and what he would do for her, and describes a few of the people he killed....

This is not a Fashion statement; it’s a Fucking Death wish-

More Continual KICKING OF ASS!!! This Song is a more Violent version of Hang em High. With Hang em High they were worried about dying or being caught, but not anymore... They Are Just Painting the town red now... For what you did to me and what I'll do to you you get, what everyone else gets you get a lifetime!! This song tells about them getting stabbed in the back and about all so called "Friends" that got them addicted... that they are killing. I will avenge my ghost, taking back the life you stole, this hole you put me in wasn't deep enough.... and The Line that Sums up this WHOLE song...
You're running out of places to hide from me when you go, just know that I will remember you.
Cemetery Drive- This is kind of the Precursor to I never told you what I do for a living... This song tells about their Consciences... Some what... I like what Blink1824 said, even though I don't Completely agree with it, actually I don't know why I'm putting it in here, I just think it sounds cool :)
"This song is awesome. I just got this CD. I love My Chemical Romance. It's interesting to see others' opinions and perceptions of the song.
I think that this song is how it generally sounds and looks.
Gerard is having an affair with a married woman. She cannot handle being in love w/ both of them/breaking up w/ Gerard and whatever else is going on in her life. Obviously, she opts to suicide. "Singing songs that make you slit your wrists" I think that she was influenced through songs to do this, just by adding more pain to her life. It might have given her more incentive to get it over w/. "In a dress your husband hates" This is showing to me that she wanted to wear whatever she wanted when she died and her husband couldn't do anything about it. "Where they found us drinking by the mausoleum door" I think that he was so depressed that he was drinking by the cemetery mausoleum, realizing that she'd done it because of him. I think he's trying to make the point that because of losing her, he's now contemplating suicide himself. Saying that, "It isn't that much fun, staring down a loaded gun". "The collision of your kiss that made it so hard" I think is saying that it was so hard to let her go and maybe not just by death. They may have broken up before she committed suicide and they had one last kiss before they decided to never see each other again. "Did you get what you deserve? Is this what you always want me for?" I think he's asking her if she got what she deserved: dying. I think they both realized that the affair was wrong and she had to pay the price for it, since she had a husband. I think he was asking her if all she wanted him to do was cry over her. "Lay down, way down. Way down, way down". I think he was trying to lay/bury his feelings down w/ her so he didn't have to deal w/ the pain anymore.

MCR rocks!!

-Blink1824"
It is a good opinion, but doesn't fit into my tale at al... Is that bad? lol. So I think that this is still a normal thing for them... They get UP on something and still do random things like slit their wrists, or try and cut their faces off. (Listen to Bury Me in Black to get that reference. The special Track on the Japanese Release.) Ahh screw it... here the Lyrics:
"I said, we'll drown ourselves in misery tonight
I lied; you've worn out all your dancing shoes this time

Just give us war, worn lipstick by the door if I inflame

These eyes have had too much to drink again tonight
Black skies, we'll douse ourselves in high explosive light

Just give us war; I've been calling you all week
For my shotgun

Pick up the phone
Pick up the phone fucker

I wanna see what you're insides look like
I bet you're not fucking pretty on the inside
I wanna see what you're insides look like
I wanna see em

Well you don't say
And well I can explain what happened to my face
Late last night
I'm sleepin next to pools in vacant alleyways
And what I'm going through, shot lip-gloss through my veins
And when I can't complain
With the falling rain

Come on!

I wanna save your heart
I wanna see what your insides may be"

OK!!! So, after that heartwarming little number... We have...

Never Told You What I Do For a Living-
This is the Wrap up song... The song that ends the story, that puts a cap (much pun intended) onto their lives... This whole Song is about addiction... not of the drugs but of the killing... They are addicted to the thrill of it... and then... Either they die somehow (I like to Imagine it was Ninjas with Poison blowguns :))... or they kill the last that their is to kill... Another take on this song so the take that I started this little adventure with...

Touched by angels though, I fall out of grace

So that begs the Question... does "Bury me in Black" come before "I never Told you what I do for a Living..." or after? Depending on what you think changes the story I have weaved...

I know Most of You that actually took the time to read this will either think it was great or BS, but this is what Boredom and Sleep deprivation spawns... Please do not take any of this to seriously, I am not in MCR so I do not know the true storyline, but I would like to think that this is at least a tad bit of one possibility...

Let The Flaming Begin...
