The name "Charlie" refers to one of the original band members Stevie Plunder. He did have a heroin addiction, and this was his ultimate demise...he ended up jumping off a cliff which Tim captures very very poignantly in one of his rare songs called "The curse stops here". As for the line "There's a girl gone crazy about you and im not far behind", this makes reference to Stevie's (Charlie's) wife who loved him dearly and was crazy about him...and the "im not far behind" refers to Tim trying to save him from killing himself, and unltimately going crazy trying to do it. Very sad song... |
