i would correct random inaccurate lines, but i think everyone else has pretty much taken care of that.
with that out of the way, then, this song is incredible. probably one of my alltime FOB faves.
it's on the new limited edition of from under the cork tree. |

I would correct jimmypop_04 on saying the other lyrics were wrong, but I see someone's already done that. So, anyway... I love this song. As far as meaning, it's pretty straight-forward if you ask me. Yea. Great song. |

i was a little taken aback the first time i heard this song. i'm like "what hell?? this is probably the complete opposite of anything else death cab". but i've since realized that a lot of chords (not the original chords cassette, but the additional 10 tracks) is quite un-death cab. still great. just different. |

dear anyone-who-likes-the-iron-and-wine-cover... gross. ben gibbard is a genius. it sucks that hideous covers in m&m's commercials and pseudo-indie films are taking the credit for his incredible work. nothing against garden state. zach braff did a fabulous job on it. i loved the film. just a shame that he included such a horrible song on the soundtrack. but. uh. yea. yay postal service. |

of course i love this song, just like everything else ben does. but that crazy-ass five-part (or w/e) harmony on the "all around" is insanely fabulous. it gives me chills. plus, the fact that it's ben times 5 is awesome. |

i don't really think this song has anything to do with some sort of cheap, strictly sexual relationship. none of that kind of meaninglessness that i'm reading a lot of here. i hear more of a bitter (very bitter) end of a real relationship. kind of a fake reassurance that, like, 'i'm ok. i don't care that we're not together anymore cuz i never loved you anyway,' just to make a person feel better about the situation. i mean, who hasn't felt that bitter at the end of a relationship?? maybe some of you think ben's a asshole for writing this song, but i just think it's realisitc and beautiful and sad. i freaking |

i seriously doubt ben would right about arthur and guenivere. i just think it's about a heartbreak and his denial of actually being in love. although he says "i'll never admit that i loved you guenivere", he repeats the "i loved you" part over and over. and maybe i'm just being naive, but it could be about jenny lewis (guenivere is the origin of the name jennifer, ya know). |
