I think this is one of the greatest power ballads ever written. It is even more incredible live.
I heard that it was a song dedicated to his father, whom passed away in 2002. David Bierk's artwork is also featured on the cover of Angel Down.
But personally, I just feel like its a great song to mellow out to when youve lost a relationship you never wanted to end. And despite all your longing and want, you cant have it...but you can still show it. Even if it does take a thousand years for the other person to realise it. |
