| Say Anything – Slowly, Through a Vector Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I'm...insanely jealous, nikznnattie. The envy I'm feeling right now is eating a hole through the lining of my stomach. *sigh* Someone is assaulting a chick and it's not Max. |

| Say Anything – Spidersong Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I've got those tired eyes all the time. He SINGS to me! *swoon* Totally about sex. |
| Say Anything – Every Man Has His Molly Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Haha, it would be great to be broken up with "over the revealing nature of the song". Suffering for your art kicks ass. He IS so pretentious. You fall madly in love with it without even knowing it. And I *heart* the handclaps. |

| Say Anything – The Futile Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Mmmm. It makes me happy to have ears. And I SO agree with the line "What do the old people teach us but how to die?" Couldn't have said it better myself. |
| Say Anything – Admit It!!! Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song is about everyone except me. *sticks nose in the air* Haha, not really. But I can list 10 people off the top of my head who it would accurately describe. And I wish they would listen to it. |

| Say Anything – A Walk Through Hell Lyrics | 20 years ago |
It's perfect. I love the heroism of slaying the horrible beast. |

| Mae – Mistakes We Knew We Were Making Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I knew it was about an unplanned pregnancy the first time I heard it. I've always thought about unprotected sex as mistakes you KNOW you're making. At the time, you just don't care. Like he's saying...they were SO in love, not thinking about what could go wrong then BAM. Good quote from Dave, nathanielwhite. I just adore the music and lyrics. |

| Alkaline Trio – Queen Of Pain Lyrics | 20 years ago |
= my theme song. It means the world to me, AK3 or HWM. I don't care, its brilliance abounds. You just don't find lyrics that beautiful anymore. |
| Bayside – Loveless Wrists Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I adore this song. The live version is almost perfection. His voice is gooooorgeous. And the subject matter is near and dear to my heart. |

| The Postal Service – Sleeping In Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Haha, I can't believe someone called Postal Service unoriginal. What a tasteless douche. This was my anthem during my first two semesters at college...just the chorus. I slept in every day. But reading deeper into it, he's really saying a lot of powerful things. People SHOULD always put the address of the sender on their mail...otherwise if it gets misplaced, it'll just be lost in the oblivion of UPS. And that would be a travesty. *giggles* Aww. Literal meanings are fun. |

| The Used – Let It Bleed Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I can definitely relate to scabs that never heal. No doubt this song is about addiction. Whether it's cutting or drugs, or both, I dunno. I just relate it to cutting because you can always just...let it bleed. |
| The Used – I'm a Fake Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I think he's confronting the fact that all the sudden people care what he's doing and he KNOWS he's a self-involved rock star. But then, this song covers a lot of topics in a 4-minute span. I can sense that he's proud of himself in the "I feel big/tall/dry" part. |
| The Used – Light With A Sharpened Edge Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This song really means a lot to me. It IS me, basically. I can identify with every single word. Luckily I stumbled upon it during a really transitional time in my life. I just wish I could scream "It's not me!" in reference to the past year. It just hasn't felt right... Good imagery, too. Anyway, to me, this song did come along with my being less involved with church and giving up on feeling guilty all the time. i.e. "Free from the torment of sin..." That only leaves me with one question... So who am I now? |

| The Streets – The Irony Of It All Lyrics | 20 years ago |
They say "Rasha" in a lot of songs. I think it's an inside joke... Anyway, this song is what got me reeeeeally into The Streets (Yeah, I'm a late-comer, so?) It's friggin' genius and soooo true. Stoners really don't cause trouble, they just want to giggle and eat and play video games. I really like how timid Tim seems at first, then he gets bolder, but in a smart-alleck way, thus being threatened to be bashed by our beloved Terry. I can't stand drunks. |

| The Adventures of Jet – Drag Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Wow. WAY off. I have to correct it, or I'll die...And I don't know how this song could mean ANYTHING to you if you don't know what they're saying. Drag racing, love. Drag racing. (Note to the world: To get correct lyrics, all you have to do is look at the liner notes that come with the album.) I'm not afraid to race you I never had to chase you around But tonight won't be the night you've counted all Your blessings for. 390 Hurst! Now that's new. If all was right, the Rambler would do But tonight I've found the competition I've been waiting for. She came from East Lansing, Michigan That was the end of racing, man. I don't want to drag tonight No, I'm not in the mood for a fight It just wouldn't be right for a young suicide In love again. I know it's hard to fathom. How could I turn my back on a Tri-Powered Tiger, blue and built for Chasing all pretense away. When she gets cold, she's still fun. July? She won't put out in the sun. She's got eyes of Big Bad Green that Put my Tiger's lights to shame. The girl from East Lansing, Michigan. That was the end of racing, man. Chorus Mock it on your way back home When the motor stops and you're all alone You dream about the things that you've been Racing for. You'll know why I don't want to drive tonight. One day, you will know what it's like. When everything's all right For a young suicide in love... Chorus *whew* Much better. |
