| The Gloria Record – Ambulance Lyrics | 20 years ago |

It's actually "My lips don't move, and my voice it wont come out." Chris played this wonderfully when I saw him yesterday in Hollywood. Completely amazing. He described the song as a dream he used to have about sitting in the back of an ambulance, and there being numerous possibilities as to why he'd be there. There was more but I don't quite remember...I was too much in awe. |

| Silverstein – When Broken Is Easily Fixed Lyrics | 20 years ago |

The constant use of contradictions is what brings my attention to this song the most. "promise you and let you down," "follow me, lead you astray," etc. It only to adds to the impact the music and Shane's screaming make, as well as the the intensification the entire song wonderfully portrays. Irony is such a powerful medium if used correctly, and I think Silverstein used it quite well. The lyrics "I can resist everything except temptation" and "so ironic that a heart made by man, when broken is easily fixed but a human hurt can last a lifetime" give me a feeling that's rather inexplicable to me. |

| Silverstein – November Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This is one of my favorite songs of theirs. The beginning is an amazing introduction that leads to such a powerful sound that never stops to give me chills. I find myself relating to these lyrics: "i fear that all my cries fell upon deaf ears" because people nowadays lack compassion. And no one seems to care about anything or anyone but themselves. |

| Silverstein – Smashed Into Pieces Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
"I don't think God takes away from people." If you realized how people truly feel in this society, you'd know that many blame God for the negative aspects in life because they feel He has full control over everything. I'm not saying I agree with that, and I don't how Silverstein feel about religion. But either way, there are tons of ways to decipher what a song truly means...it's just up to the individual to make their own interpretation. Whatever makes them connect to the song. |
