| My high school has a preschool in it, and I have worked in it my entire high school career. This year I am graduating and at the end of the year celebration the high school teachers sang this to the preschoolers and their parents. It was so touching and the song was great to watch, especially when the someone was holding on of the kids and they were leaning on her shoulder...it really brought this song to life. | |

I'm not sure but am I the only one who DOESN'T think this song is supposed to be nice and heart-warming and about love. Don't get me wrong this is a very emotional song, powerful, and I love it but look at Sick Puppies other songs on Dressed Up As Life, they don't have a track record for the uplifting. "I don't mind where you come from As long as you come to me But I don't like illusions I can't see them clearly I don't care, No I wouldn't dare To fix the twist in you You shown me eventually what you'll do." To me the song starts off about onesided love. The guy loves a girl who keeps leaving him for other men, but he doesn't care, he won't try to fix her, he deals with it. She tries to hide it with illusions, but he knows that she runs off with other men. "I don't mind, I don't care As long as you're here Go ahead tell me you'll leave again You'll just come back running, Holding your scarred Heart in Hand It's all the same And I'll take you for who you are If you take me for everything Do it all over again It's all the same." He know that when these other guys break the girl's heart she will just come running back to him. He keeps accepting this girl for who she is also long as he is her 'everything.' "Hours fly and days go by 'Till you decide to come But in-between it always seems too long For certain But I have the skill And I have the will To breathe you in while I can However long you stay Is all that I am." For him it always seems like forever until the girl gets crushed and runs back to him, but he can make it through those times because he has the skill to take the moments they are together and that holds him over. He is compromising his happiness for her's, but I love this last part. To me is sounds like he has finally cracked and he is lashing out, showing the girl that even though she has used him and crushed him time and time again, it is her that is weak. If this song is about love it is the dark twisted side of love, of deceit, lies, cheating and being used. Like I said before not exactly uplifting like the Free Hug Campaign made it seem, but then again that is just my opinion |

I think this song is actually about a couple still together but the girl is cheating, and the guy is saying, if you aren't here then whose house are you at and which guy are you sleeping with. So darling, if you're not here haunting me, I'm wondering whose house are you haunting tonight? Whose sheets you twist, Whose face you kiss? Whose house are you haunting tonight? I don't think much about you anymore. I think what is saying here is not so much that he is not actually thinking about her, but that he thinks less of her, or thinks that she is nothing, because she cheats. |

I love that this song is being fought over. And I guess it all comes down to interpretation, but come on people have an open mind. Let's review some points shall we... This song is not targeting blond skinny girls to be stupid and bulmic. Most blond girls are very intelligent, and some are even lucky enough to have a good metabolism. And yes bulmia is a problem that normally take a lot of rehab to cure or even surpress, but again these are not the targets. Pink is talking about girls who try to not eat or throw up so they can be skinny, purely to get the new "standard" for girls, or to get guys. Girls who act stupid and mess themselves up for those same reasons. The same girls who disrespect their parents on a daily basis, sneak out, smoke, drink, and have sex with random guys. And yes Pink does target some people in the video, but honestly, Paris Hilton is a typical snobby rich girl, who hasn't really had to work an honest day, and Yes I have watched the Simple life many times, and guess what, just like a stupid girl, Paris hasn't learned anything. Lindsay is barely the same girl you can see in Disney movies, and seems more like a Mean Girl nowadays. Christina has had some pretty racy videos. Jessica does act pretty stupid, but I actually think Jessica is actually truely smart. If you listen to her in movie interviews or anywhere outside of the Newlyweds show, she isn't such a ditz. But she does know what sells, and her stupidity did make plenty of people tune in. I mean come on who didn't want to even check out her show after the "tuna" incident. And for brave eyes, the football thing, No not intellectual I know. In fact I hate football guys, they are stupid and ignorant, but they are just that guys...you would never see a 'stupid' girl running around on a muddy field, taking people out. They'd be too afraid of getting dirt on their shoes, or messing up their hair, or breaking a nail. |
