It's about an outcast, eg laughing stock, who uses music to drown out everyone else. |

| Grandaddy – Where I'm Anymore Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Favorite Grandaddy song, I have no idea why I love the fade out so much, but I can't get enough of it. | |
| The Rapture – No Sex For Ben Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I love this song, my name is Ben and it's such a great theme song for my high school/early college years, heh. | |
| Mad Season – X-Ray Mind Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song is about fame, the good and the bad, though the lyrics just talk about the bad. When you're famous, everyone wants a piece of you, and don't give a damn about you. | |
| The Lonely Island – Santana DVX Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This is the line that makes me love and laugh at these lyrics: Excuse me, fellas, am I to understand that Carlos Santana has made a champagne? That's right, motherfucker! Here, try it. I feel alive for the first time Alright. Awwwwwwwwww shit! I feel alive for the first time Each sip hits my lips like a landmine He just makes it sound like the most amazing drink you ever tasted in your life! Which was the point of the song, even though they're mocking Santana for making a champagne, they've also succeeded in tweaking your interest, regardless the Santana dvx is good or not. Most people just heard of this, and whether the Santana dvx is good or not, he got the good/bad publicity. I know I'd like to try a sip that hit's my lips like a landmine, if not just too see.... Publicity at it's best.... if Santana feels this as negative publicity, he should realize this is actually positive and really it gathers more people to try the DVX, 'just for the because'. |

| Smash Mouth – Defeat You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It's about someone winning against someone not playing by the rules, and how it makes it that much better to defeat them. For example if anyone has ever watched Kenny vs. Spenny would know Kenny always cheats, and any time Spenny wins it's well deserved. While you'd rather have them play with the rules, its even better that they don't and you still win. | |
| Kaiser Chiefs – Thank You Very Much Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Lyrics are wrong, like pandora_ash_avalie said, its "alright" and more importantly: "I just imagine that I'm you, And there's nothing, nothing, nothing I can do" (I got the actual lyrics booklet) He knows what it was like to go to a concert and have fun, wanting more and more but also knowing there's nothing you can do. But now he's on the other side and it feels more like a drill, thankful, but it just feels "alright". |

| Filter – Only You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Isn't it "I'm starting to think, that we'll disappear? " I know I've felt the same, global warming and climate change really only effect us, humanity. Earth will be fine, climate change really only effect weather the human race will continue, and I'm starting to think we'll disappear... |

| Home Video – We Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It sounds like aliens are the ones accepting him, maybe I just think that because of the mysterious vibe I get from hearing this song. I love this song. | |

| King Missile – Heaven Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| He committed suicide and ended up in what he thought at first was heaven, but was actually hell. | |
| Soundgarden – Fopp (Ohio Players cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think it's : I fopped so tough they had to make some (rule). It makes more sense than 'room' to me, like he really was fopping tough. |

| Soundgarden – All Your Lies Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is awesome! It took awhile to get the lyrics down, but once I did, its an awesome song to sing along to. Love the part around 3:15 when he sings it in monotone, sounds evil and chant-like. As for the meaning I gotta agree with ThayilBeGod. |

| Soundgarden – Superunknown Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I think xvelvetxkissesx is on the right path, although not sure if I agree with the whole control part at the end. As for why it's called Superunknown I would guess its talking about the universe and life in general. It's all unknown and alot of it does not make anysense and as xvelvetxkissesx said there are many sides/perspectives to everything. First it steals your mind - nothing makes sense Then it steals your soul - then you die |
