so i just saw shinedown in concert last night and let me just say it was incredible!! brent actually explained this song before playing it. it is about his late uncle that died not too long ago. apparently his uncle had cancer and didn't tell a single person in their family and just ended up dying out of the blue. shinedown was in the middle of recording the album Sound of Madness and asked his mom if he should come home and she said no so this song was his way of honoring is uncle and remembering him. |

oh wow!! i loved aqualungs song strange and beautiful!! i'd heard this song somewhere and didn't really pay attention to it, but then i saw the movie a lot like love and just fell in love with the song. it's talking about someone who's afraid of being hurt, but someone close to them is there for them and all of a sudden they see each other more than just friends. it goes really well with the movie. |

another addition to the oc gang we have going on here. i fell in love w/ this song bcuz of the oc. it took me awhile to figure out that it played both at the end of the ep and at the funeral. but it also took some time to actually find out who sang it. someone mentioned earlier about how marissa's face just was so surprised, i would be too. anyways this song is so amazing and i think it fits. it's talking about hide and seek, well kirsten's hiding from her problems w/ drinking and losing her father, and marissa's hiding from what happened to her. i love it, does anyone know where i can find it and listen to the whole song? get back to me |

this song is so mellow and beautiful. i first fell in love w/ it on the first season of the oc and i forgot about it and then while looking up other songs on msn music, i looked up this song w/o knowing what it was and i was shocked that it was smashing pumpkins. most definently my favorite, w/ a doubt, song of them..and eye. i love it |

OH MY GOSH!! 3 pages full of comments and not one mentioned the song being on the movie "city of angels." maybe i missed it if anyone did..good for you if you mentioned it. i know this song wasn't written for that movie but it's just soooo amazing how it fits. the movies about an angel who falls in love w/ a human who doesn't know he's an angel and she falls in love w/ him too. when she finds out what he is she flips out and tells him she never wants to see him again. then this song comes on and he's hurt by what she said and he misses her. and she regrets what she did and misses him and tries to get him to show himself when he comes in her room and comforts her. she also has a sleeping problem, and can never sleep through the whole night, but when she asks him to stay (even though she can't see him) for the night, he puts his arms around her and she wakes up the next morning at 7 or so instead of 3:30 or whatever. IT'S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG AND MOVIE! if you haven't seen it i suggest going out and renting it! i love every sarah mclachlan song. she's great live! |

well, there's a comment from a chelsea on the first page and some people agreed w/ her. i totally think she gets it! i've never really thought about what the lyrics mean, but everytime i hear i think of that whole scene in cruel intentions and after reading chelsea's definition of it, it totally makes sense. best counting crow song! |

wow, i also heard it first on "the girl next door"..and to clarify the song first plays when the boy and the pornstar kiss for the first time..and then when they're in the limo. it's also on the movie "wimbledon" but i really think it fits w/ the girl next door, b/c it's almost like her theme song. she's a pornstar and no guy treats her w/ respect and the guy..matt..does and it's kinda like she's hoping "this year's love had better last." at least i think so. |
