...and of course, it borrows heavily from the 1972 cult hit "Pink Flamingos" by John Waters. Which is EXACTLY the reference you'd expect from Electric Six (although it does not in any way imply that either of them is stupid). Great movie too, if a bit gross... check it out if you can stomach it, and catch a glimpse of E6's inspiration :) |

It's even simpler than that: the verses are made up of song titles, and in the chorus he says that those are the songs that help him through the day. From the top of my head: Take Warning - Operation Ivy Boxer - Simon and Garfunkel Threw it all away - Bob Dylan She - Elvis Costello I'm only sleeping - The Beatles Dress you up - Madonna ... and more ... just don't feel like typing it all out anymore... |
