I also wanted to add that... "Still you feed us lies from the tablecloth Everybody's going to the party Have a real good time Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine" ...sounds like how we're told things are alright over there and only a few are dying, especially in press conferences with our latest and GREATEST president. They're saying they give us sugar-coated fairy tales of what's happening in the desert. "dancing, party, real good time.." it's exaggeration, but it's meaningful because it shows exactly what politicians are doing, but in a satirical way. My mom is a soldier who's been deployed there twice(since the military is short on soldiers these days...praying there's no draft.) she was in a convoy and the fuel truck a half mile in front of her got blown to pieces, she says it's not iraq's miltary that is blowing us away, but instead mafia style groups of underground organizations set-up by civilians, that's just regular old native iraqis who don't want their country to become americanized and lose it's original customs and so on and so forth. Just had to add that little non televised piece of info...oh and holy crap, I have this video camera she found sitting in the sand that an american soldier left behind, it's fucking sad and brutal. Him and his tankful of idiots go around fucking with natives who are yelling at the soldiers to leave. Kids throw rocks and the soldiers actually get out and point their fucking GUNS at these kids and yell at them, the kids mother freaks out and brings them inside, yelling at the soldiers. They pretend to teach iraqis some english, but instead only tell this poor unsuspecting native to say "I love the cock" that's what they teach him....it's sick. |

This song reminds me of me my aunt...her and her husband moved to hollywood and started a business that rents vehicles like buses, limos etc. Well, my uncle became a money hungry whore, and completely distanced from his family, totally caught up in the hollywood, just cause he had a few acting parts and stunt jobs(stunt driver for the movie SPEED and the bus driver at the very beginning of Spider-Man) He thought that this made him the shit, and my aunt and their kids left him, I felt bad for him, especially since his company is losing prominence, but thats what this song is about, Hollywood can chew you up and spit you out just like that, it's like a sponge, it takes you in like water, uses you, then when it's done all it can with you and made you unclean(made you a money hungry whore, a completely different and worse person) it drains you out. Great song, "The lines in the letter said "We have gone to Hackensack"" that reminds me of how his family left him. I like when songs can reach me at a personal level. Oh, and also his oldest daughter is a coked-out hollywood whore, just another example of hollywood fucking up perfectly normal people. |

| Bush_H8r is mad informed....he's totally right about OPEC, which is made up of the world's top oil producers..although they hold alot less authority now, especially after the almost 10 year Iran-Iraq war and the invasion of Kuwait. I always wondered how we moved from attacking Afghanistan to Iraq...that was quite strange, Bush's administration was so quick to just start blowing up anywhere that might have WMDs...why? A mixture of arrogance, self-importance and fear. We know that at some point Saddam had to have had WMDs..I mean he blew up half or Iran with them, but that doesn't mean he's going to turn around and blow us up. Saddam never even wanted to war with us, I would have thought that Iran or Kuwait would attack him before we did, but we think that we're so important and that everyone only goes after us cause they're jealous of us or something that's just as egotistical....but I don't this song is exactly about that...I just agree with Bush_H8r...Bush uses 9/11 as an excuse to go to extreme measures...Americans kill more americans a year than that incident, yet we don't put more into that...as long as other people aren't killing us...psh. | |

| I always thought when he says "darts screech by my desires" that he was saying that his desires are like a dart board, or a target, and his attempts at achieving them are horrible failures, his missing his desires, something like that.
