Been a while since I've been on this site. And although the last comment was posted in '07, I still feel tempted to throw in my opinion(s). First, we'll do the song itself. This is, again, my opinion: I like to think it's about waiting for someone that matters, and not animalistic, uncaring intercourse. At the same time, it's a bit satirical I suppose. By this, I mean perhaps, as others have suggested, people get too "into it" either way, waiting for and expecting "the one" and others who are all "makin' some babies, alriiiight!" or those who are slaves to lust. All are somewhat foolish in my opinion. Now, the people who've commented before me. Most of what I read was foolish. Especially the 'humans are worthless' or whatever by blink182sucks (who's name I found amusing until I saw how much this person failed at life. Then the others who either curse him out or call him immature whilst they themselves type like an 11 year old. And to those that tried to avoid that and stick to the song interpretation: well done. Also, if you're thinking of calling me a hypocrite because I just criticized those who continued the "argument", know that I'm aware, and I'm not trying to spark another or continue controversy. I'm just hoping, hoping oh so strongly, that somehow others will read this and somehow the idea of typing decently and cutting back on useless and overused vulgarity, as well as avoiding meaningless arguments may spread throughout much of the internet. Oh, also, the uhh "human beings are parasites" or whatever, as much as you may think you're better, or others are worthless, you sound like an ignorant 12 year old douche. Get off your high horse and accept the world for what it is. If you want to change it for the better, do something constructive, don't try to sound intelligent and just whine. You make things just as bad as those you're complaining about. |
