| Dave Matthews Band – Time of the Season Lyrics | 20 years ago |

pretty good cover, but i'd rather hear 'em cover "me and julio down by the schoolyard" or "cortez the killer" again. Fun surprise from the Summer 05 tour. |

| John Mayer – Daughters Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
You act as if Mayer is attacking women in this song that was written to more to men than to women in itself... I mean, mothers, fathers, be good to your daughters? Jesus fucking Christ, is that message so wrong? Is it wrong to look out for your girls? Do women not have good hearts? Quit taking yourselves so seriously, step back, and accept the song for what it is, a few lines and chords. |

| Dave Matthews Band – Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
great song, the origin of the name though comes from the infamous 3/23/93 "big league chew" show (#33[aka HHW]'s debut). the sound guy, Jeff "Bagby" Thomas, was drunk or just in a cheery mood and decided to assign odd names to the songs on the setlist that night. Heathcliff's Haiku Warriors was the name he used, and it stuck. later, tapers called the track "Cool Winter's Day", which was probably the intended title for the song. in the intro track before dave begins playing, he mentions that this is a new song and that people in the bar could write down some lyrics they liked and "give them to the sound man in the back". hope it's cleared up now. |

| Dave Matthews Band – #40 Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
the beauty of #40 lies in its ephemeral nature, it changes every performance, yet the meaning of love is always the same. any performance with even a #40 tease was worth seeing. |

| The Beatles – In My Life Lyrics | 20 years ago |

this song is epic, the only song I think -no one- can trash. it's so meaningful, yet so portable, any beatles fan could sing you this one back. you have not lived until you have heard this track. |
