Another thought crossed my mind when I listened to this song last night, and it's the line "Forever's gonna start tonight". I think that line means she is going to commit suicide. This song is a final attempt to get this guy to understand that it's either meant-to-be, or she might as well kill herself. Death lasts forever, after all.

Well, even though those contributed lyrics are utter crap, my first thought of this song was Titanic, and how a survivor tells a tale to a girl and she gets shocked and her face just ghostly turns into a whiter shade of pale. Probably wrong, but it's what this song means to me.

It does make sense when you say drugs, but I still highly doubt it. This song is one of the, possible "the", best song ever in my opinion. Even though I wasn't down at the moment, I listened to this song ALL the time the last winter for no reason at all. The first thing I did when I woke up was listen to it, I always had it on repeat on my stereo, always when at my computer, and I fell asleep listening to it. Now, when I can relate to the lyrics I actually don't listen to it as often. But whoever made that comment about having sex while listening to this song, I have to agree. Even though I have yet to have sex, I have had my share of solo-experiences and when you love music you can't resist to not go along with the sound and the beat, just like when you're dancing. I'm not trying to be "naughty" here, just passionate.

To me it sounds like a song that describes how Chrissie is fighting for freedom, possibly along someone's side. Freedom for all beings, all life and while she was fighting she got trapped and now she's being held captured.

It appears to be a rich family, with nanny and housekeeper and everything. I'd assume that it's told from the perspective of the nanny. I think that the daughter is very upset because she never recieved any love from the mother, and one day everything bursts for her. Look at this: "I SEE HER IN THE HOSPITAL BANDAGED FROM FOOT TO HEAD" She sees a female in the hospital, thus it can't be a guy that's been violent.

To me this song represents an eternal bond. It can be between two lovers, friends, or family members. I'll just point out that in the video Chrissie is seen taking care of a male person that's tired, possibly wounded. However, I can't recall the two kissing. It's an open case.
