| Gym Class Heroes – Papercuts Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I believe that when he refers to his ambition. he explains how he was born with it but it comes and goes..his ambition makes him do this n do that.. like ambition is needed to live life and grow as a person but too much can be harmful, so i think his overambition is the papercuts. :) | |
| Metric – The Police and the Private Lyrics | 19 years ago |

This song has got to be about mistrust, like every1 is a suspect - the hairdresser, the garbage collector, the police, ect. i think the "get straight" & "comming clean" are not about druggs but rather telling the truth. She is also saying how all this mistrust & suspision & dishonesty is tearing us all apart, like we're losing the love& trust. & also that its real like you dont know who ur working for, we dont no eachother anymore. |

After seeing the video for this song it is obviously about the war. It starts out with Uncle Sam, a kid playing with toy fighter jets, and it shows a photo of a soldier. I think the kid in the video is meant to symbloize the US being like a kid that doesnt know wut its doing. |

Well after seeing the video, its obviously about the war. The song has Uncle Sam at the start, a kid playing with that plane, then it shows a photo of a soldier(lik ehis dad r sumthing), then the kid boxing. I think the kid in the video is supposed to symbolize the US being like a kid not knowing wut their doing. |

koshmar and RTBRAND1 are right on the money i'd say! RTBRAND1's version is more general and Koshmar's is more spacific but i think their both right. I think the summed up meaning of this song is that we all have memories of better days. |

I think i mostly agree with RTBRAND1. i think this song is more about commercialism than technology though. ("Bring me back to fallen town Where someone is still alive") So he wants to go back to the good old days where people are just people without all the commercialism and such. ("Fighting for something new in this When no one needs the heart of me") hes saying that hes fighting for change but no one cares about wut he thinks and he really has no way out ("I'm made of you and you of me") Is how commercialism and i guess technology have become a part of us and wut good has it done us ("But where are we?") And finally i guess he realizes in the that there is no fighting it and that it all feelz good (like the posessions, sex, drugs, etc. that the media has brainwashed us to want and like) and he's given up and is now hoping that it rusts into his being because its like a cult and it feels holy. |

| Gorillaz – Kids With Guns Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I beleive the song is about how we can't say no to anything anymore ("Think of something to say no to") eg. alchohol, drugs, sex there isnt really much restriction. Whatever u desire u can have, there's easy acssess. He's just saying whats next? ->kids with guns and people are pushing it |

| Gorillaz – Last Living Souls Lyrics | 20 years ago |

He's saying that the gorillaz just might be the only ones left with any morals or at least relalize that things are wrong.-->He uses the gun as an example By "The coldest man doesn't see it all" i think he means that we have no idea how bad we have been because even the badest, meanest, or coldest man has seen it all. Exept the all seeing lord who we truly need the help of. thats just wut i cood dig up from this song. I also like how the album kind of tells a story cus all the songs kind of connect, like after this song he goes on to kids with guns where he furthers this idea with how we con't say no to anything. |

| Gorillaz – All Alone Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I dont think this song has anything to do with drugs, but it is definatly about sex. Actually i think it's about a guy masterbating ("All alone"). ("Snatch a piece of my wondering")--> Some one desireable ("It's my mistake I'll make it ")-->SEX ("Ten spoons of spinach")-->nasty "no shame","Bounce wiggle","I'll birth this bane","The cup that runneth over "....commom this is obviously about sex ("The lone drum the beat hot")&("all alone") -->masterbation Yay and then when the girl sings i think its supposed to be his imagination. all he has to do is close his eyes at night time and.....ya.This person wont leave him ("When the morning comes it doesn't Seem to say an awful lot to me")cuz shes all in his head. |

| Gorillaz – El Mañana Lyrics | 20 years ago |

I agree with beastieboy in a way. Note the sirens at the begining of the song. I think this man used to believe in god ("He just left me love in myself")but he is loosing faith("Cause I do know, Lord, from you that just died"). I think by "that day" he is talking about his own death and it is all Lost in his mind and he's playing it over and over, why or how. So it brings me back to my point that he is loosing faith and is a bit angry because god is letting him die. So he's saying that maybe in time god will come back to him and accept him again by letting him live or letting him into heaven("Maybe in time, you'll want to be mine") and that thats the only way, through god, "Money won't get there". And Finally he is eager for the tomarrow and he is saying u must embrace it ("Don't stop the bird when it comes") |

| Gorillaz – Every Planet We Reach Is Dead Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I'd also like to add that there's supposed to be a line between "All the sick and selfless days" and "I want to see you again" That says "your in love with him" so now i'm thinking that the girl left him for someone else and that was the reason for the seperation | |
| Gorillaz – Every Planet We Reach Is Dead Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Firstly, i agree that the title 'Every planet we reach is dead' is saying how every relationship he trys has been a failure. Also i think theres a link between how this girl is the world to him and the title has 'planet' in it. Next I think this song is not really a long distance relationship but a cuple that isnt quite together or broken up, like theres alot of "loose ends" and they've just kindof lost eachother or lost contact. And he's just wondering how there going to work this out. He also mentions how time is low or running out and he is loosing hope of ever seeing this girl again, who he is obviously crazy about. That kindof leads to how he might be getting a lil obsesive which would be "sick" and he knows it's not going to work out so why is he doing this to himself, which explains "selfless". And now he's just dreaming of what cood have been if they never left each other. |
