This is my favorite song to play on bass. I just play along to the music and either follow, or do my own thing. When he sings the "but if it's alright with you... and if it's alright, yes i will" part I feel really happy, because he sounds so happy and at peace to say it. -Becky |

This song makes me think of how afraid I am to grow up and stop changing. Seventeen is the age of a whirlwind of ecstatic life in giant gulps. (So come on.) By the time that person is 21 then they have been around for too long and now that they are more settled into the pace of the rest of their lives: will never have that kind of fun again. And maybe don't even want to anymore because they are moving on. Go do your own thing.. /They/ don't want you, anymore. "They" is referring to..... the Gods of Eternal Youth.
